This is a memorial to Kivish Zazitöntak
« on: May 20, 2012, 12:18:50 am »

He arrived to my fortress in the second wave, since I don't have an use for sheares in my fort I made him a mason and ordered him to help to build the floor to the magma pit. Then I received the missing for a week announcement and I wondered how the hell he did to fall into the magma pool.

I ordered a memorial slab for him and imagine my surprise when I read it:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Poor guy he was already an skeleton when I saw his body, lying on his bed. Her wife probably slept in the same bed a few times yet she is ecstatic.

These dwarfs knows so much sometimes and at the same time, so little. They knew exactly the name of the vampire even though there were no witnesses to the murder.

I have since buried the poor guy and I have identified the vampire, she was pretending to be an engraver, sadly she wasn't the one who engraved the slab. It was easy to identify, she doesn't have any food, drink or sleeping thoughts and she was already "slowed by alcohol scarcity."

I hate it when that happens, at least you know who the vampire is... sort of. dwarves are a strange lot indeed.

Gathered from adventure mode ramblings, they all know who the vampire is, they're just too timid (or drunk) to go up to something that's just eaten their family and go:
"Er... Creature of the night, who's killed 19,004 in his lust for murder, would you please kindly follow me to the prisons to get executed... please..."

Legendary Axedwarf, Legendary Shield User, Proficient Wrestler, High Master Fighter and a Dabbling Engraver, and all he can muster against a vampire is "sir please come with me to the prisons oharmokpleasedonthurtme please respond please"? Sounds about right.

Can't you just post the thread in another thread?

Hah, that's awesome, I never thought to actually read the memorials, somehow. But you were wrong. You said there were no witnesses, but the mountain knows when blood is spilled on it. And who but the engravers are able to commune with the stone and divine its secrets? It is really no mystery at all that they would be privy to the knowledge of his demise, when you think about it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This is the first time I get a vampire, I had begun to think that they were an urband legend so this caught me completely off guard, if It wasn't for the slab I would not have idea of what happened.

Checking the vampire's relations she is an ardent worshiper of Sodel, the deity of fortresses yet that didn't stop her from profaning Sodel's temple and getting cursed (reminds me of Dracula). DF generates pretty awesome stories.

I think that only means that earthenware was his favorite thing in the world, earthenware is listed on the guys preferences screen not that he had an earthenware related affair. :P

you mean like if you have a short question on the current version, you post it here:

instead of making a new thread like you did?

Based on the last fifteen posts he's made, he appears to be an incompetent troll.  I'd PM a mod, but can't be bothered to take the time to complain about his incoherent ramblings. /shrug  Guess I'm just feeling lazy today.
