He then turned around, held up the pike, to Corai and said "You have no idea, how fucking bad this hurts." He said. A faint sizzle could be heard from the pike. "Do you know if Gizogin is here? I need to get my hands a skingraft."

"Like a true dwarf!" Eric laughed, then headed back to the new bedroom complex where he'd set up his office in the room nearest the exit.

-What, you don't trust me Corai? :(

After a long battle, the big centipede finally lay dead. Oliolli brushed himself off, suffering only minor cuts and bruises all over his body. Vemini, also mostly unharmed, had seemingly suffered no ill effects after being slammed against the cliff multiple times. HugoLuman, having no real combat experience, had been knocked out fairly quickly, and now stirred again, slightly concussed. Super Plump Helmet Man had lost a hand and a foot, and would need a few days to grow them back. Jerry had gotten the worst of it, nearly getting killed a few times and now suffering from a broken arm and 3 broken ribs. Roead was nowhere to be found.
Oliolli and Vemini helped the others get back to the fort. "Time for me to return the favor," HugoLuman said to SPH Man as the crippled fungoid hero leaned on him.

Far to the north, the greatest of the centipedes had just killed a farmer and his wife. It had no inkling of awareness of any facts, not even that the 2nd largest of it's brood had just died. The beast smashed through the first house, ready to devour all it could find, when it came upon a human warrior with an axe who was standing over several dead villagers. "Hey! This is MY village for razing!" yelled the Osp-oli. He raised his axe, bloodlust not yet slated by the weak humans. "Go get your own!"

I'll probably just demand an explanation next time I see you, and then forgive you later. Once I get over the adrenaline and can get out of focus-mode when the current crisis is over, I will probably have a bit of a breakdown because of all the strange things that happened to me.

After you shot me, I still tried to prevent Weird and you from killing each other. Though seriously, in my state of mind at that point I probably had dismissed it for the moment. Everything will hit like a brick later.

Let's just say that IRL I've forgiven people for worse things, and leave it at that.

Oliospi grabbed the dead farmer's body, spun it around and threw it at the centipedes, hitting one of the smaller ones, which flew off in an arc. Grabbing another corpse, he turned to see another centipede coming at him. Oliospi whacked it with the corpse of the dead peasant, as well as another one that had been coming at him. He once again started spinning and threw the corpse at a fourth smaller centipede that had come through the hole in the wall. Next Oliospi grabbed his axe and started running by the side of the giant centipede, cutting off legs as he ran, occasionally also cleaving an attacking smaller centipede in two. The lumbering monster tried to turn to fight the small piece of food, but was simply not nimble enough. In about a minute, it had lost all of it's left side legs. Oliospi climbed onto the crippled centipede's back and started hacking where he thought the vital organs were with his axe.

Now, how the smaller centipedes swarming around the beast make the journey is absolutely uncanny...

They are carried on it's back.

When they got to the fortress, the group headed straight to the hospital. Vemini and Oliolli helped explain what had happened, and who needed treatment where. Weird sat in his bed and watched them troop in. So the hunt had been successful, after all.

HugoLuman lay down on the hospital cloth stockpile, since he could figure out no way to get into one of the beds. They were too small for him, anyway. As his head cleared from the concussion and from the recent battles, he was overcome. Primarily, he was disturbed by his new body; now that he had time to fully take the fact in, this transformation was hands-down the strangest thing he had ever experienced. Somehow the thought that he wasn't even a mammal anymore was particularly unnerving. He had yet to encounter a mirror or other way of seeing what he looked like, but the alien sensations coming from his own body were almost too much for now.

Then, as he began to drift off to some much needed sleep, another thought occured to him; he had been going around naked this whole time. When he woke up, finding a dragon-sized towel would be priority number 1.

Gizogin and Mrhappyface listened to weird.
"So, you say this dragon is Hugo?"
"Yes. Somehow, he randomly turned from a translucent human into a non-ghostly dragon. I suspect that Zanzetkuken was involved somehow."
Gizogin and Mrhappyface eyed the sleeping HugoLuman, and Weird saw an eerily... hungry look in their faces.
"Surely you're not planning to do any !!Science!! on him are you? Come on, we can't do that to someone who came here from the forums with us. Except maybe Corai."
Gizogin thought. Maybe just a teensy vivisection. Wouldn't hurt a bit.

Splint walked into the hospital, pike pretty much welded to his hand by now. He saw the others there, having opted to try and see if cooling it in a pond would get the damn thing off. It didn't work as well as intended.

"Uh, would either of you happened to know how to apply a skingraft a burn victim's hands?" He said, holding up his pike-fused hands. "The was a small fire, this thing got heated almost to melting......" He looked at a dragon laying in the hospital, unsure if it was the one that incinerated the goblins earlier. "I take it you guys are busy... I'll uh, just come back when the scare firebreathing lizard is gone...."

Sitting on a hospital bed Oliolli couldn't help but wonder if Gizogin still remembered how he had fled from the hospital last time.
--
Time passed, and eventually Hugo woke up. Oliolli was still in the hospital, on his feet, and had by then almost recovered from a "routine checkup" by Gizogin. Noticing Hugo wake up, Oliolli tossed him a large pile of cloth, which almost resembled clothes of some sort, that he had aquired shortly before his checkup.
"ZTG called."
"He apparently 'heard' some thoughts about nudity and relayed the info to me."
"We relayed the info to the clothiers and they made you these sweet rags."

Hugo examined the pile of cloth and couldn't help but wonder about three things: First, how was he supposed to put them on without tearing them, second, if theywere even the right size and shape, and third, why there was an eyepatch and stuffed parrot among them. Hugo started by asking about the third thing.
"We figured this place could use a pirate dragon, so we told the clothiers that an eyepatch and stuffed parrot were traditional dragon garments."
"You wanted a pirate dragon. You told that they were traditional. I argued against it. You insisted. You threatened the clothiers."
"But..."
"That's my version of the story."
