Corai turned and threw his dagger at the threat.


"Hey, Hey Corai. What brings you here?"




Ooooooooh fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. It was Splint, he just threw a bluemetal dagger at Splint.


"DUCK YOU IDIOT, DUCK!"

[Splint]

Splint panicked when he threw his hands up and the skull barely stopped the knife. The blade did dig into the muscle a little bit, and the skull had nearly split, but he was alive.

"...."

"You made me jump! Sorry!" Coari said in self-defense.

Splint pulled the knife-skull away from his face, a little blood trickling out of his forehead. "Just so you know, I'm calm, but the second the adrenaline wears off, I'm going to shout a string of obscenities the likes of which god has never seen. Then get my face fixed."

[Corai]

"Im a thief by nature, you dont expect me to kill something if it catches me from behind?" he said, throwing a paper to Splint to wipe up the blood.


"Dont mind it, just wipe off the ashes." he said, grabbing a gold bar. "Freeble will like this."

[Splint]

Out of the blue Splint unleashed such a horrid speel of curses it would have made a nun's ears bleed (Whatever a cockknuckle was, even he didn't want to know when he shouted it.) When he finished, he used the paper to wipe away a little bit of the blood. "God damn this stings!" he said, rolling the paper up. "Sorry I spooked you. hay, you were up by MrHappyFace's room right? Do you know if my pike's fixed yet?"

[If anyone knows what an Angry marine is, you'll know how absurd thier insults get. Imagine that but scaled down to a normal human's vocal ability.]

[Corai]

"Errrrr.....I walked by it..." he said, quickly wiping off ashes.


"I think your pike got destroyed, from when I walked by. One of the cyber-dwarves snapped and set off a bunch of fires..." he said.


"So, hows the fortress! Hows the cave moss!" he said, diverting the conversation.

[Splint]

Splint seemed to go extremly quiet at the mention of his pike possibly being snapped or melted. He threw the skull on the ground, grabbed a brick of gold laying on the ground before Coari snapped it up, and headed for HappyFace's room. If his pike was damaged, he'd make sure everything in the room was a smoking heap. And then possibly grab the nearest living thing and kill it. Slowly.

[Splint, Farming Pikeman, has been taken by a fell mood! Seems to be where this is going. that pike was a case of loss = near tantrum level sadness.]

[Corai]

Corai followed Splint.


"Splint? Splint? What are you doing?" he asked over and over, carrying the skull with the dagger, trying to pry the dagger out.



"Oh what have I done..." he thought, smiling.

[Splint]

"If my pike is destroyed, someone dies. Slowly." is all he said, pushing the hatch cover open to go up into HappyFace's room.

[Corai]

"I can steal you another one." he said.


"I know a little cottage that makes the finest iron pikes you have ever seen." he said, making hand gestures to try to distract him. He didnt want a close friend being blamed for murder because of his actions.


...Okay, his only friend.

[Splint]

"No. it wouldn't be my pike. That pike got me out of the first fort. It got me here. it kept me safe. if it's destroyed, Someone dies." He said. he had a hollow look filled with hate in his eyes as he said this, and he forced the hatch into MrHappyFace's room open.

[Corai]

"What have I done." Corai said to himself, the one time he ever felt true guilt.



-Corai is single, uninterested in love. He has no "true" friends aside from Splint, I.E Splint he can talk too without needing a dagger behind his back. So yeah, Corai cares for Splint. He doesnt want him getting hurt.-



"Okay, I only used fire....there was no true combat, how much damage could the pike be in? A little hot and melty?"

[Eric Blank]

Eric, coming back up the passage from the caverns, overhears a familiar, squeaky voice gibbering about a pike, and the voice of Splint, sounding rather pissed. Looking down the hall towards the old dorms, rather than the new block of 75 15-meter-square rooms they'd prepared earlier, he spots Corai and Splint.

"Guys? What's going on?"

[Corai]

"Eric! HELP ME NOW! HOLD SPLINT DOWN!" he said, grabbed Splint's leg and pulling, sending him to the ground from the suprise.


"Hes trying to kill Mrhappyface, hes fell!" Corai said.

[Eric Blank]

"And you want him to go berserk? Stay the hell away from him! I'll catch MrHappyfaces' soul if need be. Oh, yeah, I can do that now..."

[Splint]

The minute he heard "melt,'' Splint almost flew into a rage as he entered the smoke-filled room. He smashed the gold brick he was carrying into a knocked over agent who was stunned from earlier, and began knocking shit over, looking desperatly for his pike. he didn't care at the moment if he was about to get his knees broken. He wanted his "baby" back. When he was brought down by Corai, he didn't retaliate at first. Then he saw it.

A glint of shiney copper through the mess.

"MY PIKE!!!!" Splint shouted, jumping over some burnt papers and a file cabinet and grabbing the heated shaft. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ITS SAFE ITS SAFE!!!!!!!!!" he said, kicking Corai in the face and jumping up and down. Then he stopped, walked out of the room, Corai following behind breathing a sigh of relief. He then turned around, held up the pike, to Corai and said "You have no idea, how fucking bad this hurts." He said. A faint sizzle could be heard from the pike. "Do you know if Gizogin is here? I need to get my hands a skingraft."
