The alert was probably referring to the Castle Guard, a troop of elite Wyram who patrol all sectors of the tower. You're actually forbidden by Mother and Father from seeing the Castle Guard for some reason.

The nearest, safest room is the COLLECTION ROOM. Other rooms are on the floors below. The safest room in the whole tower is Mother and Father's room on floor five, but you haven't been able to see them since they blocked access a few years ago.
