Sounds cool to me. Looked up the manga, read the first seven chapters, began designing my character while doing the grocery shopping. Registering now.

May I ask, WHY do you want our names?

don't expect my real one, for this kind of stuff, I always name myself something different.

same for birthday.
Character names and birthday.

Oh god, that was for character names? Changing that.

Sheet posted as well.

EDIT: I guess everyone will know my name because I can't edit it. Whatever. :P

Wait, is the name on your character sheet your real name? If so, I'd see about getting a white facemask.  :P

Looks like we have 6 characters submitted so far. Are you planning on running any, Scelly? Looks like we have 4 people other than you who are registered but haven't made a sheet yet, so if we don't get more than 9 or 10 characters, I'll probably make a second.

lol nope. I thought someone meant the real name for the account. Although being named Char would be awesome.

EDIT: Just remember that this is a high lethality game, and that we'll be running through characters quite quickly. Either that or well all die from not killing. I'd suggest making another character.

Looking through the FAQ, it appears that there are three ways to die:
1. Being selected during the bimonthly random character death, which essentially means that the person controlling the character has to kill them off.
2. Allowing (via PM or OOC discussion) another player's character to kill one of your own, which I assume would mostly be for the sake of roleplay and not happen too often, unless a massive shitstorm like the lighthouse scene in the novel goes down.
3. Killing off your own character for other reasons. I'm not certain how the game will work in regards to killing/being killed by NPC characters (if there are any), though. Request clarification.

So what I've taken from that is that deaths will probably be fairly regular and not entirely common, in realtime terms. Again, unless the RP leads to a big, bloody conflict.

Looks like the SotF people are cease-and-desisting you for copy-pasting their stuff, Scelly. Tsk, tsk. I thought that that stuff didn't sound like you.

I suggest a formal apology and a request to officially use their materials, or to just link directly to their materials since nothing was really changed. I'd suggest the first option since you've already got their attention.

Basically what The Fool said. Failing that, write up rules that are at least different enough that they can't complain about it.

They've probably got someone who has nothing better to do than google portions of their ruleset every couple hours.  :P

That, or someone here noticed and let them know.

That's not the best way to handle this.

No idea, I've already sent a request to use their rules, but I'm removing them for now.

This entire thing seems incredibly petty and something that EA would do.
