Non Hostile World

Hey does anybody have the settings for a world with no goblins and no nightcreatures. It does sound boring, I know, but I want to have a fortress dedicated to beasttaming with no other hustles going on.

Just turn invaders off. *shrug*


I am living peacfully idyllic in a world where dwarves didn't survive worldgen, with no problems.

I understand you have to change the ini settings right? I don't want all of dwarf fortress worlds to go unsieged

But you only play one at a time right?

Just clone the folder, move the save to the one you want invaders off on, set the ini in that folder, and have regular fun in the other one?

Great! my fps improved significantly and now my sewer is full of corpses like it should be.

You could easily simply delete the EVIL entry in entity_default.txt, which would stop goblins from appearing, and then generate a world with those raws with a NIGHT_CREATURE_NUMBER of 0. Might also want to excise kobolds and set titan number to 0 as well so those don't attack, either.

You can just turn [INVADERS:] to OFF in the d_init file, which stops all of those creatures from attacking you anyway.. This way, if you ever want to be attacked later in the life of your fortress, you can just turn it back on.

Honestly OP, it is the most sensible way to do this.
