Head to the hangar, and practice some acrobatics in my new body, with the goal of getting a better idea of my limits. Also test the Jump Pack. Can it be used to boost me forwards and backwards? How often can it be used before it needs to charge?

((@ paris: no trouble with it at all.))
Quote from: Lyra to Flint
Amps, Venom, no show.
"Ah, I see. Very impressive. I like it. I think it would be best if you used your ability to help track and reserve-"
Jason gives a slight cough to announce his presence. "Sorry to interrupt, but I've come to pay off part of that debt, Flint. I'll just leave it over here by your helmet and let you two get back to what you were doing." The voice emanates from the porcelain mask that the skeleton is wearing. The mask doesn't betray any hint of emotion as he looks at Flint, and the only identifier that it is Jason is the rather distinctive Shackle attached to his arm. He sets his last token down by Flint's helmet.

"I'll get out of your hair if you want. Don't want to intrude on your moment." Jason states, feeling rather awkward although the mask thankfully doesn't show it. "Ma'am." He adds, nodding his head towards Lyra in acknowledgement.
He takes a few steps back towards Gilgamesh.
"That's a nice battlesuit, by the way." He notes, reaching out a hand towards it before stopping himself. "Sorry, wasn't thinking. The artifact I bought with the tokens you loaned me let's me see the history of items I touch, I think. You mind if I touch the battlesuit or that neat cannon on it, maybe find out more about it?" Jason asks.

Give last token to Flint. Touch Gilgamesh under the shroud if Flint doesn't stop me.
Flint doesn't stop him. He doesn't even realise he is doing anything.
I hop off Flint and slowly circle the newcomer from about two armlengths away, watching him curiously.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I've come to pay off part of that debt, Flint. I'll just leave it over here by your helmet and let you two get back to what you were doing."
"Oh... Uhh... Thanks."
Flint was not expecting to see Jason. Or anyone for that matter.
It's surprising how many people show up when you attempt to get some privacy. You'd think they're doing it on purpose. Probably just nosy gossipers.
Flint takes the opportunity of Lyra getting off of him to stand up and straighten his clothes a bit, looking at the strange man before him.
Is everyone turning into some sort of weird creature? What's the problem with good old humans?
"I'll get out of your hair if you want. Don't want to intrude on your moment."
"Huh? Oh, no, it's nothing like that, really, she was just showing me her body and..."
That sounds even worse.
"I meant she got those cool enhancements and I thought it would be easier to see them than talk about them."
Oh god.
"Because were discussing about strategy. Not that I wasn't enjoying it, I was."
Just shut up, you're a disaster.
"That's a nice battlesuit, by the way." He notes, reaching out a hand towards it before stopping himself.
"Oh. Thanks. It has saved my life many times."
"Sorry, wasn't thinking. The artifact I bought with the tokens you loaned me let's me see the history of items I touch, I think. You mind if I touch the battlesuit or that neat cannon on it, maybe find out more about it?" Jason asks.
"Uhh... Sure... I guess. I have no idea how that works. You know better. Just don't break it or cause it to explode or something. I don't feel like dying. And uh... try to not focus on  any embarrassing things too much?"

He turned to speak to Lyra again, scrolling through the mission data while occasionally glancing up at her.
"Uh, anyway, you witches are really strong but tire quickly so you should probably try to not use space magic unless you need to. I can help protect you and the others and most of the others can shoot. It'd be better if you just used your magic on very tough things that none of us can hit or if someone's life is in danger."
When is someone's life not in danger in a warzone you idiot?
"I mean, if nobody but you can help. Plus, if you start using it too much they may adapt to it and start growing multiple organs or brains or whatever those abominations use."

"I'm assuming you can smell as well as an animal with that nose, so you could help guide us to the objective, you can just follow the scent, I guess. Just disappear and follow the trail. If our drones can't do it of course, no need to risk your life for nothing. I'm guessing the skin could still feel you, but it should have a hard time doing so with how light and hard to spot you are."

"You probably won't be as good in hand to hand, but it shouldn't come to that as long as I'm around. You could try ambushing them like you did with me, but if they adapted to that, then your we can kiss our stealth advantage goodbye."

Flint pauses between each sentence, letting Lyra give any input if she has any.

"Ooh, free stuff." exclaims Auron looking at his wristpad message.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

((Lyra's weight wouldn't even slow you down from standing up by the way.))
When Flint starts talking to me I stop my circling and look at him, making eye contact. However, I don't respond to what he says at all, just standing there, watching him.
then when he's done, I stare at him for a little longer, then tilt my head to my left some and keep staring at him, waiting.

Jobasio blinked as the VR machine slapped him in the face, then frowned.
"Well... that's rather odd. A software bug, perhaps?"
He strokes a hand against his gauss rifle as he speaks, staring at the VR console for a moment before getting to his feet with a shrug. He glances about the Rec room, then decides to head to the barracks, and his locker.

He opens the locker and gently, carefully places his beloved gauss rifle inside.
"Won't be a moment, Whig dear, you just wait here, hmm? I'll be back shortly."
He glances left and right quickly, eyeing the barracks somewhat nervously before closing the locker with a clack.

>Put my rifle safely in my locker, then find that porno mag I'm pretty sure is still floating around my inventory and go find a secluded spot (a hangar?) to have a good, intensive read of it. Pass the time with it until the VR machines are working again.

Brother Lars snaps his eyes open from his prayer after a quick word of thanks. The gods are gracious with information.

He sent a message to share this with the General.

And did the gods deign to mention what to do if most of our troops are newbs with only a single type of weapon, or even no weapon at all? Maybe you should ask them where exactly we can find a cluster, or at least a nerve bundle. If revealing that fits into Their Divine Timeschedule.

Poor General; clearly the stress of the job was getting for him.  Brother Lars made a note to say an extra prayer for him.

Quote from: Brother Lars to General Miyamoto
Blessed General,

The gods reveal what they choose to reveal, and it is wise.  Blessed be the will of the gods.  Perhaps if more of them had access to the Miracles of Steve, then that would many-fold increase our methods of attack.  Regardless, if we are following their will, the gods will see fit to guide us on our path.

I will pray for guidance when we are planetside.

In between firing a few wristpad messages with Rookie to help organize the mission - choosing Auron to the part of the roster made him raise an eyebrow - Milno turned back to his locker in order to test something.

Touch Empyrea's club and have the sharkmist quickly consume a bit of it to see the consumption speed.

Then go to an airlock and try to create a long (4 feet), thin (thinner than a pencil) and rigid sharkmist tendril coming from an extended hand, slowly thickening the tendril and making it more flexible until it looks like a whip.

Try to grow a mouth and get back to normal. If I get a mouth, eat some drugs!
[1]

Using the conversion kit I adjust my gauss rifle to be used for long ranges.
I'll just give ya this one. Consider it done.

[wiki]
Pan ignores the punch for a second, instead nodding at Dubley.

"Out-fucking-standing trooper. We'll make a genuine asset to the revolution out of you yet. Now get up, put that gun away and help chuckles over there get back to a somewhat human form, will you?"

He turns around to look at Auron

"Ah, if it isn't Magpie. Well, your little lovetap has gotten my attention now, what do you want?"
You get about halfway through your first speech when a giant human mouth clamps down around most of your upper body and starts chewing.

"I WISH I COULD SAY I WAS SURPRISED BUT YOU ALWAYS DID LOOK LIKE THE TYPE OF MAN WHO'D LOVE TO HAVE ME IN HIS MOUTH! BUY ME DINNER FIRST, MARINE! HAVE YOU NO COMMON DECENCY!"

Light up three bluesmokes, at the same time! How long before they start to effect me, maybe 3 or 4 missions of using them continually? Also, go to the armory and see about getting a canteen of ARM standard alcohol, then head back to the briefing room and relax.
You keep smoking them like that and you're gonna be out of it real fast. The booze helps too.

[wiki] guys, keep track of how many of these smokes people take if you don't mind.

Give last token to Flint. Touch Gilgamesh under the shroud if Flint doesn't stop me.
You touch the suit under the shroud.

You get a condensed flashback of the entirety of the suit's experience, it's use by miya and then by flint. You feel like you could pilot it very very well.

Sigh, understand that no one is coming, and go to armory.
"Ahem...Hello. I would like to ask, can I... I mean, can you modify Gungnir kit to be used with Спектр, like... for additional cost maybe, messer Armory Master?"
((I'm asking if can pay AM to make Gungnir with Spektr instead of laser rifle))
Does that change the price?

[wiki] regardless.

Huh. Maurice smiled slightly perplexedly, and proceeded as if nothing happened.
Wrap the shirt and put it back into the container.

Resist the technicolor weirdshit. No one except me can see it, no one has commented, it exists in my mind solely.
Therefore, resist the shit out of it.

Here go the lessons!..
You put the shirt away without any real problems. The strange effects weren't screwing with your ability to control yourself, just your ability to see properly. With it gone there's a bit of a multi-color haze left, burnt into your vision like you were staring at the sun, but otherwise things are fine.

Joker team, could you please meet me in the hangar for equipment assignment and a chance for us all to go over the plan. Again.

While waiting for the Joker team to show up, try and intuit what those metal disks from AMIABLE AMBER might be. Don't actually use them though. Oh, and put on my MkIII.

Equipment distribution:

Yancy: One Spektr, one goop thrower plus goop reload, one goop grenade, dissolver for goop, Exosuit with battlesuit plate on chest and helmet, one Con stim, one maneuvering pack.

Thaddeus: One Spektr, one goop thrower plus goop reload and namite reload, one goop grenade, dissolver for goop, battlesuit plate for chest and helmet of MkIII, shock switches, One Con stim.

Dubley: One Spektr, one goop thrower plus goop reload, one goop grenade, dissolver for goop, one Con stim.

Mesk: Laptop with connection cables, one Aux stim, one Uncon stim, one goop grenade, dissolver for goop, cutting torch hull opener.

Auron: One monorazor machete, one Uncon stim, two goop grenades, dissolver for goop, one maneuvering pack.

Pancaek: One Exo stim, one maneuvering pack, dissolver for goop.

[Wiki] dat crap

The buttons are probably medicine depressors of some sort. Judging by the packaging they're not a amateur job either. They're probably a professional drug kit, maybe for sale, maybe an example kit? Who knows.

If it's not one thing, it's another. I think I'm on to something here, and I get interrupted. Again. Oh well, we all obey Steve and/or his designated commanders.

Yabcy aborts his VR session AGAIN and hits the hanger.

"Hello sir. I've already swung by the armory and requested everything you requisitioned for me, though I haven't gotten too much time to familiarize myself with the equipment. These are definitely not like the guns the army had when I served before that court-martial..."
I wouldn't hit the hanger. It's pretty hard.

Head to the hangar, and practice some acrobatics in my new body, with the goal of getting a better idea of my limits. Also test the Jump Pack. Can it be used to boost me forwards and backwards? How often can it be used before it needs to charge?
You can easily leap about, bounce off walls and ceilings, do back flips and otherwise act like a circus performer. The jump pack can be used to boost forward, but doing so is like being grabbed by the backpack and thrown forward. It would take a lot of skill to use it for quick horizontal movement like that without bowling yourself over every time. The jump pack can do 3 seconds of push, but takes about 30 seconds to recharge.

"You're too loud, woke me up." replies Auron.

"Ooh, free stuff." exclaims Auron looking at his wristpad message.

So You walk in, pants around your ankles, a copy of "Boobs and high powered laser weapons" held up by your face, as The Joker team is in the middle of assembling to do their debrief. I'm just gonna assume they stare at you, in stunned silence, as you shuffle over to the area behind the nearest shuttle.

King Sulan'takan'litkham'ramen III decided to use his last token to purchase a monoatomic razor despite the bad memories.

Oh, well the readout looks sort of like a heart monitor or an eeg. It's got three colored lines which are scrolling forward across a moving grid background, with some numbers labeled along the left side. One of the lines, a red one, is sitting still at 0, while the other two, green and blue, are synced up and are wavering slightly, between 5 and -5.

So green and blue are at the same position, or is it that when one moves, the other does as well, but with some room between them?

As a test, use dirt from Hep I took with me (and that's in the hangar) to produce some namite. Do it slowly, create only a little at first. How do the lines change?
Also, ask Steve what kind of tools would be most convenient (for the average trooper, not Miya) to dig/cut and find those nerves with.

Remember how when I fire the more powerful modes of the rainbow cannon like blue lightning or red plasma I drain the suit's reserves and have to wait for it to restart? I want something like a secondary battery or capacitor or generator that would let me walk around after firing the red plasma or let me fire blue lightning while retaining mobility for about a minute.
Just walk around? No secondary firing or anything fancy? Because that would be cheap and relatively small.
Well, ideally I want it to also be able to boost the Rainbow Cannon's available power to allow me to fire a second shot (or a super-powered ultimate-attack-style shot, depending on circumstances) and allow me to recharge my industrial mining laser's battery in its spare time. But if I can't get that at a reasonable price I'd prefer just being able to move around after firing.

Also, since I now have some more money (thanks PW), would getting an ARSC help the team in any way or would it do more harm than good?
Would it let us get around faster?
Could they be protected by it and fire through port holes or use their amps through cameras or something?
Is it airtight enough to allow medicine to be practised on board?
Does it have any weapons of its own?
Can it land?
Can it be returned to the sword at mission end or am I looking at a one time deal?

Just looking for ways to protect our squishy newbs. Plus, two battlesuits circling around what I assume to be an armoured flying saucer would be fun.
