((You misspelled the acronym))
((He was spelling PONIES

((Is it bad that I was trying to make it PENIS?))
((Only if you got an erection. But its perfectly ok if that happened when you saw PONIES.))

"United Coalition of Planets? Alliance of Free Worlds?"
"Kind of sounds like you're listing names from fiction. I could add a few like that. Probably shouldn't though. By the way, I think you still have my shock trigger?"

Spoiler: Gorat 'Chin' Ivanos (click to show/hide)

"Oh yeah. Forgot about that."

give shock trigger back to Gorat if he wants it.

Do I have any scrap metal left?
If no, go gather some more from the debris.
If yes, ask AM if I could get a few dummies (even just a few metal stands will work) for free and try out my new naginata, practice on the dummies. If no free dummies, just swing it around a bit, try to get a feeling of the weight and the balance. Try to find out how sharp it is, and how resistant to breaking or dulling.

"Hey, c'mon people, we're talking about a new dawn for all of humanity here, let's go for something a little less grim eh.

Hmm, 'New Dawn' maybe? 'Bright Dawn'? 'Humanitas Liberator'? 'Humanitatis Aurora'? "

"But those are boring names that boring people come up with. 'Bright Dawn' in particular sounds like a grassroots communist movement."

Stacy chuckles.

"Oh, grassroots communists. When will they ever learn? And those dead language names just sound pretentious and empty of meaning, which they mostly are. I mean, how unoriginal can you get? I say we keep the acronym HMRC at the very least, and let the other names form from what we do and accomplish, if anything."

"Riiiiiiight. Give the knife that causes homicidal urges to you. Yeah, think I'll hold onto this just a bit longer. At least until I'm out of the room. Why do you even need a knife anyway?"

"Hey, I'm just thinking out loud here. You got better alternatives? If we were to keep 'HMRC', I won't really complain, but honestly: imagine you were an average citizen in the UWM.
Now, if you heard that the HMRC was coming to your planet looking for a fight, or to 'liberate it' as that bunch of convicted mass murderers calls it, would you rise up against your UWM oppressors, or rather take up arms yourself to fight for your dear life? I think we should grab this chance to start of fresh, with a clean slate, without all the negative connotations that the name and idea behind 'HMRC' has.

Oh, and I could do without the ad hominem, thank you. "

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

I have to agree with Miyamoto here. The HMRC is a name that evokes terror, no matter what it stands for. Some days, we might have use of that, but not when it comes to protecting these people. How about Aegis Popularis? Or if you prefer space English, The Shield of the People? Pretentious, maybe... But also descriptive of what we are trying for here.

(( And @Tack, I'm joking with the incident count  :P
As I said at the time, I appreciate you getting in contact with me about that, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an incident  ;D ))
