((To be fair, we're convicts, not soldiers, so we're even lower on the totem pole.  If Mission 3 is anything to judge by, scientists spend all their time watching porn and sleeping together in very open relationships.))

See if the duel scenario in the tunnels against that homo absconditus is still saved somehow. If it is, delete it. Generate a passive homo absconditus, and request the available info on it.

(( I assume the Armory Master is there, as it wasn't specified otherwise?))
Good day to you. Sorry to disturb you, but I've been told there are a few useful books here. Could you help me, please? I'd like a guide to 'modern' programming (general/AI) and something like a book of advanced math exercises - you know, something to keep the brains in shape between missions. Oh, and a book of poetry, please, if you happen to have one. Maurice smiled apologetically.
Ask the Armory Master.

Good afternoon, Steve. I suppose the current mission is already in process? How far is it from ending, is it still open for bets?
Contact Steve.

((Oh, and the helmet is removed and worn on belt/wherever, as usual. Specifying for the sake of establishing apperance.))

"Uhh. Maybe if I close the bad eye?"

Close both eyes.

((Figures. Boys in the coats tell the men on deck jack shit.))

((Figures. Boys in the coats tell the men on deck jack shit.))

You close your bad eye. You begin seeing the vague shapes again. Very slowly, veeeery slowly, they begin to focus and more shape begin to appear. You can make out more of the doctor now, the vague shapes of his features and his mask .

Get new battery for laser rifle and four clips for Bolt action rifle. Also borrow a book on katanas if possible.
You get yourself a battery, 4 clips and the "Book of 5 Rings"

That sub species from a quiet world right? The one where you got stuck in pipes?

"I don't have any poetry, or really any of that stuff...least not in general. I've got a book about programming simple things, but nothing about  complex AI's. "

>I don't know anything about it to be honest, it's not under my control this time.

Sure. May I have that book on programming and a datapad, then? Thank you.
Also, about things off the main list - are there any 'intelligent' weapons apart from the LESHO rifle? Ones that are rather programmed to shoot than aimed? And what about small side-arms that are woth of notice, in your opinion? We appear not to have many guns or their equivalents specifically suited for one-handed firing.

Ask the Armory Master.

Wow. Still, no knowledge means that speculation is allowed, right? We won't know for sure until they return, I presume, so I suppose, betting is allowed?
Actually, if you don't know anything about the mission status, may I at least inquire as to who's on the team this time?

Continue pestering Steve, albeit nicely and politely.

EDIT:Also, just curious: Steve, who do you answer to? Unless that's a state secret, of course. It is just that I had the impression the only people who could be considered your superiors are the Magisters themselves, and even then probably only as a body, not as individuals. Was I mistaken?
Inquire.

(( Eh, I didn't say 'bow to'; one might be questioned by (and answer to) his peers, after all. Like Gazer, for example - I mean, don't you dare assume that Gazer is inferior to Steve? I presume that they are equal or near-equal in their godhood and thus could theoretically question each other. ))

((Well, ignoring that my post was a joke, I cite this post where the Gazer sent Lars here to serve under Steve a while.  So yes, the Gazer wins out (or is at worst equal) but again, joke post.))
