Quite a while. Some of the penguins weren't the right dimensions for the picture, so I had to do funky (but ultimately unnoticeable) things to get them to fit. That's what is most time-consuming.

Now I just need to make a random avatar rotation out of all of them.

If theres 110 penguins and only a few are animated i'll hazard a guess at 120

To be fair, he didn't say there are exactly 110 penguins nor did he say he included them all. And damned if I'm going to count them or figure out how to break down an animated gif into frames.
