We need some better offense. Besides, a colossal sized creature (ala brontosaurus) requires colossal bodyparts, superstrong bones and/or exoskeleton to support, a superefficient oxygen intake and far stronger muscles.

We could go even bigger as a sea creature, but we will be limited by the food supply.

I suggest formic acid glands, from the ants we absorbed before, or gut bacteria (better digestion) from the cheese, which will make digestion more efficient and will help overall.

Given the fact that merged we have 100 times more biomass than not (yay for linear absurdity...), I vote for LEVIATHAN.

It's somewhere in the thread. You can choose other abilities too, those were examples.

I Was thinking on the line of basic form abilities. Acid spray you could get by assimilating bombardier beatles beetles, I think.
Possible abilities can be:

-Faster assimilation
-DNA modification( allows you to change the apperance, of certain parts, up or down sizing them)
-Energy efficiency
-Splitting
-.....
( Stuff like that)

I'd say ability to change size of elements at will. But not only size, all the necessary stuff to keep them functionnal at increased/decreased size.
