I had my history on short too and my world size and the biggest it can be. I think this is pretty cool, I can only assume the heroes of this world are totally badass. I've never seen the age change ever nevermind when the world has just been created.

EDIT: Also, I have no idea why but probably due to some mods...my dwarves are Yetis. Hm.

In worldgen, a hero is someone who killed a Mega/Semi and lived. When most of the killers die it becomes the age of heroes.
