... on pizza, I have occasionally made macaroni and cheese, then cooked a pizza, chopped up the pizza, and then stuck them together and stirred. Also mashed potatoes and rice, actually.

Sometimes I just go, "Fuck it. I'm adding a pizza. No, not pizza ingredients. I'm putting in a god damn pizza." And then I eat pizza X for a day or three. Cook enough for two or three days in one go and you don't have to cook for two or three days. Just nuke... sometimes. Sometimes you just eat it cold.
Cici's Pizza makes Mac & Cheese pizza, and it's yummy.

oh...oh my god, why havent i seen this thread before?  :D
this whole thread is a slice of science my friends and i call Food Math
some discoveries:
marshmallow fluff is good on everything, notabally pizza and chicken.
ranch dressing and mayo goes on/with everything. everything ever
tuna salad can arguabally be eaten with everything
a peanut butter and cheese sandwich makes for a nutritious substitute if you normally dont get any protien in your diet.

but these are boring things  :-\ no notable examples, just tested and true condiments...

You can always try salt liquorice ice cream, salt liquorice flavoured pork and salt liquorice Koskenkorva around here. Pork and Koskenkorva for dinner, ice cream for dessert. It's a salt liquorice evening, folks!

As for food experiments, there's the macaroni and "pizza" meal. Or just Tuna-Mushroom sauce with macaroni.

2 chopped, medium size carrots
1 chopped onion
1-2 chopped cloves of garlic
Fry in a pot.

Spice it up with black pepper, salt, chili (natural or powder mix), basil, and optionally pizza spice mix.

1 can of crushed tomatoes
Some tomato purée
Pour in, stir and let it simmer under lid. Heat up water for macaroni.

1 can of tuna
1 can of champignon mushroom
Pour into the sauce and stir. Start boiling the macaroni.

Finished once macaroni is finished. Optionally, drain the macaroni, pour into the sauce and stir. Throw in some pizza cheese and stir until it has melted. Serve.

I like it, at least.

Weird foods?

Cooked Potatoes + Porkchop + Cheese + Tonkatsu Sauce + Wrap = No idea, but I loved it.

If you feel like dessert there is always fried bananas cooked in sugar until caramelized in a wrap (like everything should be). Let it cool for a second after that so you don't burn a hole in your wrap. Add to a wrap. Add chocolate chips and cinnamon. It melts in and becomes one of the best desserts I've ever had. I made it one night on impulse.

Cooking is great for improv. Any standard dish was just an improv at some point. Just throw some stuff together, maybe heat it up a little, and you have yourself a meal.

My wife, when we were still just getting into the "dating phase", offered me some salmiakki. She told me to keep chewing, that it gets better. I married the damn liar anyways.  :P

The only thing I think of to compare the flavor to is if you took a Goodyear radial tire and put salt on it. I love black licorice. Salmiakki is not black licorice, it's vulcanized rubber. Salty vulcanized rubber.

Tonkatsu sauce is the philosopher's stone of sauces. It works on everything. My kids prefer it to ketchup.

Smoked salmon and dark chocolate. The flavours work really well together. The textures less so. Still trying to find a perfect way to combine them without actually having to infuse the salmon flavour into a marshmallow or something.

And for any other Mark Reads fans out there, brie and ketchup.

Roast vegetables? YUP.

Roast meats? YUP.

YUP. Something I already included without even waiting to say it?

I don't know about regular food combinations, but I eat cereal so much that I have mixed countless cereal together. Sometimes three at a time. Mini-wheats, Special K and Peanut Butter Puffs-type cereals go good with a lot of things. As does granola.

This is why Finns are terrifying. They chew salted rubber pellets as a snack, and they enjoy it.
