I want to ask the guards about what they know about the bounty, but I want to make it sound like I know about something similar happened elsewhere. Something along the lines of totems that held in horrible toxins underground, and we've come to look into what is happening here.

I want this lie to be rather elaborate, but I want to try and fill it out before I tell everyone. I want to see if we can find out who issued the bounty and maybe see them for a moment. I don't really want to do anything past find out who it is. Does it sound like a reasonable plan?

We don't know much about the lands, recently, so I guess that plan is foolproof. Let's ask about why there is a bounty first. Why on the totems, that is.
