It seems that Arizona cannot get past its, neo Nazi and white supremacist underbelly.  Recently it was uncovered that Arizona’s new anti-immigrant law was written and introduced to Arizona congress by  Neo Nazi supporter Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce. Pearce has been associated with local Neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups.  Just take a look at his background.

There's different flavors of conservativism and liberalism, it's not quite as binary as it sometimes gets portrayed.  Libertarians (The Tea Party, being the anti-gub'mint party, can be considered pretty libertarian) are opposed to gun control and internet censorship.  Some left-wingers, namely the scrawny ones you see getting threatened by Hank Hill, are for gun control and internet censorship.  Plenty of people are opposed to one but not the other, to varying degrees.
