"Well, actually I, strictly speaking, have never played with this calculator before. But be my guest. I'd rather save up my battery power for later, anyway."

Stacy shakes his head and turns to Pancaek.

"Boys and their toys, huh?"

((sorry for lack of posts guys, been busy lately.))

Let Flint try to use his new whatever to open the door. If that fails, designate a point on the door for Pancaek and Stacy to focus their amps on. If that fails, try to punch my way through. Once we've breached the door, play blatant lies.mp3.

'Ok guys, stay sharp. Who knows what they've got locked in here...'

((I was wondering, if the strenght requirement for that laser is only 5, and a exoskeleton is worth 15 stat points, how could that laser be so troublesome to carry?

Also, PW, could you describe my suit in a bit more detail? Currently, I'm imagining it like this but with a rocketpack on the back, and hands instead of guns.))

'Ok guys, stay sharp. Who knows what they've got locked in here...'

"Plague victims, possibly? Crazies? Explosives? Some combination of all three? Those seem like things you'd lock up for the greater good. Crazies in particular. Those would cause somebody to have a 'conventional morality vs. greater good' debate. So we should be fully ready for slobbering maniacs to come out, I think."

"It's possible that it was shut due to flooding, yes. But if it was flooded, why write 'For The Greater Good', then? Same goes for the clowns - it is clearly known that clowns endanger the physical and moral safety of the general public, so why is the justification needed? Then again, most of these people would have been crazy. Maybe some even liked clowns, which is arguably worse. You do raise a good point with the flooding, though. Best start with a small hole to be safe."

Bishop nodded at Lukas and stepped back.

"Definately not done by a typical welder, maybe with mining equipment of some kind. Keep an eye out for anything that could do this, cause I want it incase we come across more doors like this.

It should hopefully be weak enough for you to pull it open. Give it a shot."

Step back and get ready to shoot through the door if Lukas opens it. If he can't get it open, slice through the last bit holding it shut and let him try again.

((@Radio: You are probably looking at the stats of the Cutting Laser. The ones we found are Mining Lasers, the industrial, heavy-duty version of the military ones. It is like the difference between our military exoskeletons (like the MkIII one) and the industrial exoskeleton, which from what I saw, seems like a miniature power loader in terms of raw strength.))

Today we are watching the entire run of "Kino's journey" and "Mushishi" two of my favorite shows. They are anime, they are subtitled.

((So, I assume Kyle put his lamps on and followed the group? If not, my action is just to catch up with Milno + co.))

I should probably handle this before someone starts shooting at them...

Stepping forwards, Kyle called out, "Please, remain calm. We're here under the supervision of the UWM to evacuate this place. Is there anyone else here with you?"

Pray that diplomacy works better here than it did in Kyle's last mission. Also, look about to see if I can find wherever that person is speaking from.
You look around for where the shot came from but there are many windows, many rooms above storefronts, many dark holes to hide in. You didn't hear the shot and don't even have an idea which direction it came from other then vaguely from the front.

Lars called out to the darkness.  "We represent the UWM, and we are here to evacuate you to safety.  Please put down your weapons and come out slowly."

Above.
To the voice: We've been sent to clear any remaining civilian personnel from this installation so that the UWM Peacekeepers can come in and find out what happened to the colony unmolested, and the personnel can receive treatment if needed. You will not be harmed by us unless you are belligerent, you have my word.
"I can't understand you if you're both yelling!" There is a pause. "Send someone forward to talk, I'm sending someone out. Don't try anything, we've got you covered!"

[Team B Leader=Milno]

Check what was that pinged off near the team's feet.

Milno stares at Kyle for a the grand total of two seconds before getting his attention elsewhere and answering.
"I say whoever from you, Simus and Lars speaks to the person, gets the right to exercise diplomacy in that case. If one of you has already initiated contact, let it be unless there is the risk of stupid shit happening due to the other teammember's actions."

Spoiler: A-B Teams (click to show/hide)
You bend down and take a look at where the shot hit. Judging by the size of the mark the shot made when it hit, small caliber round, solid metal; Gauss pistol or rifle, civilian caliber.

[Team Leader A, Jim - Entertainment District]

"Let Simus do it," Jim said. He wasn't a diplomat, anyway; he wasn't created for it. Instead, he took a look around the area for routes in which they might be ambushed - or could escape down in case of ambush.
There's an alleyway to the right about 30 feet from here, good place to run if shooting starts, though it does mean running Towards the bullets. Jumping into one of these storefronts might work; they look to be made of metal or something similar, would probably stop a bullet. You clench your fists and hope it doesn't come to that.

Team D - Lukas - entrance to oxygen

"We could always try brute force."

Try to open door with brute force. Make sure everyone is out of the way first.
[3+2] You jam your fingers into the cut Bishop made and begin prying it open. The remaining metal resists for a moment then fractures and breaks away as you jam the door open, breaking servos and bending metal as you do. The room revealed inside is large but also fairly barren; large machines, metallic hydras of pipes and reactions chambers, huge filter systems and storage tanks line the walls. Their numbers are uneven though, and they do not completely fill the room. They left space for expansion later.

Near the center of the room, in the empty space unoccupied by machines, are several bodies, all dressed in green overalls. None of them are moving.

((I love you IronyOwl, and your acknowledgements :D))

Team C - Feyri Nirel ; Armored Mercenary ; Door to Water Production

Oh huh. Everyone now thinks I'm an idiot.

Thank you Jack, for you kind sentiments...

...

I hope you're safe, Jim. Milno, Faith- and... the rest.

Get my shield back as it seems Miyamoto said so.

Set up covering fire if any hostiles are detected from behind my shield, guarding Stacy's work.

You get your shield back and point it at the door, ready to fire.

Name:Flint/Bloody Miner - Team C - Water production, outer door

((I just realized we're exploring an abandoned dwarf fortress...))

Try to open the door (with the chisel and then hands) before Stacy uses the MFM. Try to stop them if necessary. If all else fails, take cover.

"Hey, I'd SUGGEST you don't use reality bending machines unless absolutely necessary." Flint said to Stacy, trying to sound as menacing as he could. "Besides, you've played with your calculator before. Let me play with my chisel!"

You poke the door with the chisel. The spike on the end stabs forward suddenly, pounding a deep hole into the door. Hmm, not exactly the fastest way to get through, doing this.

(The laser you guys are finding isn't an ordinary military cutting laser. It's a piece of jury rigged mining equipment with a lot of the housing still on it. It's significantly heavier. As per your suit, think something like the one on the right http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/163/6/4/helldiver_apu_by_sttheo-d3ippbx.jpg, but larger so that your arms and legs are barely in the limbs. And with a rocket pack.)

Seeing that A new handhold has been opened you wave the Amp users off and try to pry the door open by hand. It proves easier they you'd think, seems the door isn't welded as well as it looks.

Inside are the great machines used for water purification: Giant pipes running along the ceiling, pumping water back and forth from the purification systems here, tanks of contaminants arrayed along one wall; all of it like a great beating heart. In the center of the room are several bodies. One moves slightly.

Help Lukas muscle open the door if he needs help.

Looks like he's got it.

Thomas gets between the man and May, trying to shelter her from any possible attacks.

You get between may and the vague direction where the shot came from.

Step forward, away from the group.

We have been sent in to escort out the remaining civilian personnel from this installation so that the Peacekeepers can come in and find what happened without issue.
