Look around and near the wall, flash the light towards nearby higher sections of the wall.

You wander around a bit, looking in the general vicinity and up above. You can't see anything; not surprising, the sand line was probably a hundred feet up or so.

You run your hand over the cliff. It's not perfectly smooth but it's far from rough. You think you might be able to climb it, but it won't be easy.

Well, probably somewhere between 30 and 35 meters, maybe a little more.

Check current climbing gear. Check remaining torch fuel. Check available laser weapons and remaining ammo, and estimate the effectiveness of all three on the cliff face.

"With this distance we'll have to climb in at least pairs. I'm willing to be in front, but who will catch me in case I fall?"

"I will, if you want to go first. And I think we only need one person there with some rope to get the rest up." Milno answered Travis as he looked upwards.

"Alternatively, we could try the grappling hook, but there is no guarantee it won't damage the elevator's controls by some stroke of bad luck."

There's plenty of Pitons left between you all, a good amount of rope, grappling hooks for everyone, minus one. Your torch has 9 minutes of fuel left and will no doubt be more effective then a laser rifle. As per the effectiveness of everything, well you imagine you could hammer the pitons into the stone just like on the tower and that you could cut the stone with the torch.
Grappling hook might work if you can get it up high enough to grab the platform.

"I can cut handholds if necessary, but it looks like the climbing pitons will suffice for that.

Whatever we're doing though, I'd rather do it quickly. We don't know what's out there, but we're definitely done with it."

"Alight then" Travis said as he gazed upon his daunting task.

Travis starts by attempting to scale to a safe height (5m). He then hammers in a piton and attaches himself to it with a carabiner.

You hammer pitons in as far as you can reach without climbing, but going up any more will require climbing.

You climb up a good 6 or 7 meters and pound a piton before clipping yourself on and taking a breather.

Close eyes, practice trying to navigate by sound. Staying pretty close, of course.
