She then applies copious amounts of marble to the spear.

2,1,2 Of course, marble and metal don't like each other even under the most accepting circumstances, viz. being embedded with the help of gravity and notches; in this case, they most vehemently refused each other and turned into a heap of various non-organic compounds.

5 He successfully gets up without slipping. He peeks onto the ninth floor, which is ... mostly pitch-black. Also, the air feels sorta thick.

Kahn sees that there is a treacherous wireframe staircase upwards.

He also takes the debris from the stairs and attempts to fashion armor from it.

2,5,5 He crafts +4 Marble Dwarven Mountain Armor! It has a 16.66% chance of impeding an action. It's also fake, because Sir Kahn is obviously not a dwarf. The armor is mostly made of layers of marble (which is soft) and duct tape (which is not).
