Upon hearing the sad story of Gretel and Popo in the cage, Ire couldn't help but recall something she heard as a child in the streets, during the cold winter days when the commoners gathered around the raging fire of the town square.

"Y'know, that story reminds me of something like Hansel and Gretel...Just saying.

"Though...the witch died in the end, and-..."

She looked at Popo and then at Arianna, then at Gretel, ending at her orange star chaser.

"Are there any stairs leading into the sky? Do you mind if I try to test my spear usage in this place?"

Ire looks outside. The tall staircase seems rather spindly and fragile against the immense sky.

Ire then practices spear usage. Gretel guides her a tiny bit.

"Those chasers, they sometimes come and go. You can attach them to a target and explode them for extra hurt. The orange star never disappears, but other ones go away after a while. Also, if you use the orange star like so, you can create a palm blast that flings the enemy far away every once in a while. It'll take practice, but you'll get there eventually."

Ire gained Palm Blast lv -1 (minus one).

Kahn wanders off.

A moment later, the witch rubs her head, which is still on her shoulders, and shouts frantically.

"Wait, don't stab me in the heart or anything! I'm innocent! Sure, I use black witch magic, but who says Black Is Evil? Besides, those girls are capable of more evil than I can ever do! Also, they're supported by Bakal's group, and they took my home!"

Ari heads out.
