We of the Senseless Murder party hope that you will make the right choice, the proud choice, the Dwarf choice.

I think the dwarf will go towards whichever was built most recently.

Her spine isn't severed from what I remembered reading, so once her legs are set, after a while, she'll be up and back to mining again....

But then, I'm oddly enough not a fan of senseless death, when there are potentially years more of blood, sweat, and tears that could be rung from the subject, with just a little repair work....

Now if she liked elves...it would be a mercy killing...

Vote for the Senseless Murder party today!

We're not killing her, we're helping her die.

I think the dwarf will go towards whichever was built most recently.

You're suggesting she pick which lever to pull?

Interesting...

I'll have about 7 days with this save before I pass it on to the next person (Di).

So I have no qualms against her death.

The only reason I could see keeping her alive, would be for others to find her immigrating to over 300 forts... But that's not likely if she's dead.

Frankly I find it abhorrent that it has come to a vote here whether or not this dwarf should be allowed to die.

The Dwarf Fortress I know and love is not one in which any dwarf will have to stand in front of some "Life Panel" so that some bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their "worthiness of dying" that they should continue living as opposed to meeting their premature, grizzly demise as Armok intends. Such a system is downright evil.

All Dwarves must have the basic right to die.

It is clear no Dwarf was meant to live a thousand years and not suffer ill effects, and I am aghast by the majority who would prefer she live on. For what amusement do you seek to attain from her agonizing life continuing?

Monsters.

Vote for Dwarf rights - and the right to death!

1. Lock your mayor in a room with your immortal dwarf.
2. Have all your mayor's family and friends jump off a bridge, your mayor should have lots.
3. Your mayor will get upset and take it out on the unconscious dwarf.
4. ? ? ?
5. Profit.

-or-

Set up a one tile pasture on top of you dwarf.
Assign 1000 kittens to the pasture.
The kittens solve your problems.

I was under the impression that Loud Whispers wanted to give her a quick, painless and preferably dignified death.

...And you're suggesting that she be eaten alive by a thousand, starving, mewling kittens?

Now, the last votes'll be cast, and I shall say no more till the day dawns.

wait...
what if this was a test from the blood god all along?
what if there is an evil sealed in a can on that one?

we are all gonna die.

if she lives, she will kill everything on a batshit spree
if she dies, the evil sealed within her will be unsealed (which could be easy to control, weaponize, and possibly farm if its a web-shooting one)!

A legendary miner ? Save her !

no srsly you'll probably need an hospital anyways, and a legendary miner is long to train. And she can be fixed up and sent to mine once again.

Also, makes for a better story. She's one millenia old, damn it ! "After living through a millenia, Urist McMiner died of thirst after having a cave-in accident because people couldn't give her water". Bah. Lame death. You want to kill her in a cool way ? Clad her in armor and send her against a goblin siege. This is a stupid death.

Letting her die is the easy, cowardly choice ! Brave the cave crocodiles and GCS for her sake ! That's what a dwarfy dwarf would do !

I've already saved her. What I'm doing now is giving her the choice... You will all see soon.

I feel it prudent to restate my earlier position:

This dwarf's life is an affront to Armok, it is a sin against all that we, the murderous denizens of these forums, stand for, and to permit her to live any longer after so many attempts to kill her is to invite disaster upon ourselves.

Stop this madness now, before you all become like the elves.
