I can't be expected to know the ins and outs of taming. I'm a bureaucrat, not an animal tamer. Put soapmaker in room with kennel and undead, see what happens. If he can't figure out how to tame a lousy undead that's his problem. I recommend we try this at LEAST once a season once we have the resources for it. Undead are not immune to cage traps, right?

All I know is, the undead are a powerful force, and if we can tame them they will be OUR powerful force. A vote for me is a vote for security!
Whereas a vote for Dog Delusion is a vote for excluding half of our citizens from defending their homeland based on the accident of birth. What if one of our strongest members just happens to be female? No, a vote for Dog Delusion is a vote... for SEXISM.

Beurocrats:
Delusional Party - The Dog Delusion
Frog Warriors - Frogwarrior

Gods:
HugoLuman
Karakzon
Reudh

Mogun:
Old Greg
Spinal_Taper

I'm glad to see the bureaucrats working it out already!  Once you can come up with a compromise, we'll have the starting stuff set.
The mod is currently VERY close to finished.  So close, that I might as well say it is-  but because I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE people who release crap that's half-finished or buggy, I try to test things very thoroughly and fix as many bugs as I possibly can.  That isn't to say I can fix all of them, and some may be intended features (such as how making clay slats for llamelar armor is a very cluttery, time-consuming task-  this is because llamelar armor is a quality, difficult, unique Mogun manufactured armor.  It needs a downside.)

Does releasing an alpha and asking for help playtesting count?

It's a clearly established fact that Dwarven (ahem...mogun) women are not responsible to leave their children at home when in battle. There is no place for babies on the battlefield, and therefore, no place for women! The last thing we need is an axe-wielding woman using her baby as a shield, and then going berserk and demolishing our remaining troops when that child (armok bless the children) is killed.

And besides, if frogwarrior gets his way, our fortress shall be defended by the vile undead, obviating the need for female or male warriors in the military.

Hmm... I think I'd enjoy being a god. A god of... Food. No, wait. A god of encrusting goods with cut stones. Build me a temple with four bland stone statues encrusted with microcline! Or orthoclase. Both hurt the eyes right.

Actually, I think I had success cutting clay before...

I would like to apply for deity status. I will be God of Coffee.
(If your mod lacks coffee, replace all of the following coffee bean/coffee related instances with plump helmets and dwarven wine)

I will have a sect of secretive and secluded monks dedicated to my teachings, which are:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

EDIT:
Well just sign me up to be a deity, then. I didn't notice the worldgen pickery.

Imagine you're driving a car. Push the gas pedal to the floor. Close your eyes. Remain this way for ten minutes while turning the wheel at whim. This is Dwarf Fortress.
I don't mean to alarm you, but it appears that your Dwarves are all in fact elephants.

BTW, you'll get to pick which god you are, but the gods will come from the worldgen.  So you may not quite get what you want.
Dreams, Nightmares, Darkness, Caverns, Holes, and Fertility are some of the more common Mogun gods.  Especially Dreams and Nightmares.

Most of us have not asked the way I think you want us to... and too, there is likely to be some readjustment once the world is actually genned.

However, I know myself, at long last.

I am the god(dess) of holes.  I'd never seen a god of holes before... thus I'd never known that this was myself.  I now do, and thank you.  I look forward to being deep, and well, deep.  And holey.  And I may, if seems appropriate and interesting, display a few additional virtues, especially if I end up being the god of well... just holes.

May all the secrets you wish to keep remain buried deep, my faithful I have yet to meet.

Indeed, good sir! Perhaps to this end, an evil(ish) biome would be to the fort's advantage... assuming we survive the first season.

Weaponize zombies...? Partly evil biome...? Ahhh, I see! Chuck corpses into the evil part of the site, then get them to move over to the non-evil part of the site, where they and the invading goblins can kill each other off. Perhaps utilizing some containment mechanism akin to war dog cages (although probably using a bridge in lieu of actual cages). Brilliant! I'll have to try that myself, sometime.

Now, how does one MOVE the zombies...? Hmm, I suppose you could use a series of lockable doors, and rely on a combination of a random walk, and hatred of all that lives, to get them to the right area. But... that seems inefficient. Ah, perhaps a zombification tower, making use of a sluice in order to rapidly and efficiently transport the zombies to a containment area, with a grate floor to let the water drain out. Now I just need to pick a suitable embark site...

On topic: I advise the bureaucrats to agree on an embark site which does not freeze in winter, possibly with a river, in order to facilitate any water-based zombie control mechanisms, such as a zombie sluice, that may be needed. Particularly as there is a limited supply of soapmakers, and they're too unpredictable (and flighty) for proper zombie-herding anyway.

I concur - a river can provide not only water, but also a safe front in the event of a land invasion, as well as the possibility of a moat or traps which involve large quantities of water. I think that a biome that isn't too cold would also be best, as a frozen moat is just...land. I think a site with running water, plenty of plants and trees, and at least one layer of soil for farming would be optimal.

Surely, frogwarrior's hopes for an evil biome can fit into that arrangement, particularly if it's a site in an evil forest. Just not too evil, as we need plants and grass that are alive so that we and our beasts can eat.
