Societies is good?
Odd, I remember thinking it was worse than Steam (shameless anti-steam plug) er... whats a bad thing... Ah yes! The world exploding!

It is far worse... I am just excluding it from the main SimCity series.

The bottom line (imo) is that SimCity is vastly inferior in every way to previous iterations of Sim City.
That is why there is so much hate for the game. :)

That isn't fair, It is an improvement off of the original one.

Maybe not SimCity 2000, but still.
Do not cut back on transit funding! You will regret this!!!

I just realised (with some help) what the upcoming expansion pack reminds me of.
Anno 2070. To an uncanny degree.

Yup. Especially the Green buildings are very reminiscent. I thought it was just me, but it is surprisingly similar.

The only way it could be closer would be if they added more DLC later that had a society entirely dedicated to research and sciencey things.

I mean if they branched off the ecos Academy into seperate parts for hippie-ism and technology-ism.
As it is set to be, both factions are oligarchies anyway, it just depends how they go around getting dolla.

To be fair the name was made up before shitty naming was a big deal.

By shitty naming do you mean naming something with a word that's slightly different just so you can trademark it?
(As in Flickr vs. flicker, Tumblr vs. tumbler)

If not, can you elaborate? I don't get it.
