The Shieldbearers
Instead of going for the normal suggestion based game I think I’ll go with a multiplayer game where I update every once in awhile. I will start with five players for now and if there is demand or the situation calls for it I’ll expand the roster. I’ll be hoping for some good role-play on your part and I’ll put out some good writing.  The setting is a bit of a mashup with a dash of everything from magic to machineguns.  Now for me to give you some setting stuff!

Valia: The empire from whence our protagonists hail from. It has been run by the mostly popular Vencian family for the past hundred years. Currently run by the popular Emperor Maxillae the empire had been stable under his rule, He had tamed the marauding warbands to the north and expanded Valia’s territories to the resource rich snowfields. But this expansion by Valia had drawn the ire of the neighboring nation of Ragynl, who after stating some long forgotten claim over the land had marched to war with Valia for this claim.

This came as a shock to the citizenry of Valia, Ragynl had always been their friend and ally in wars in the past against both foes mundane and supernatural. Not only that but they also shared a common line. It is common belief that  when the brothers Fitran and Nitram had defeated the All-Watching King they had cut their own kingdoms from his former domain’s and as you can guess it those Kingdoms are Ragynl and Valia. Even to today it is believed that the royal family has carried drops of this Heroic blood.

The new war deemed The Brothers War by news casting agencies has now raged for a few years with strong pushes by both sides, Although now Ragynl seems to be making a strong push with strange contraptions coming from factory lines each day. Undeterred Valia pushes back with her mighty forces which you, New Shield-Bearer have been drawn from.

You have been chosen to serve in Valia’s Valk Guard, the unique and elite unit of the Valian military that has been drawn from all fields to create a combined force to defend the Royal Family and the homeland. Not only that but for some reason or other You have been called to join Meln Shield, The famous group of bodyguards and retainers sworn to defend the Crown Prince of the Empire.

And…For some reason. We have lost your records. War is a hectic time you know?

Looks fun! A quick question, what exactly is a 'Fae'? And for suggested races, can we be something like say an Anthropomorphic Cat?

Fae or fair folk, To put it simply the are a dash of elf and a dash of fairy. Long lived and rather malicious they have been in multiple conflicts with man. One of the oldest grudges is the fact that the Ragnyl and Valia's patriach's built the two nations on pieces of Fae land.

Eh. Anthromorphic creatures werent in my plan at the onset because

but I guess I can piece together some bonuses for them.

I was thinking of having the Cat creatures less heavy-built than humans, making them not as strong but more agile and sneaky.

Can Jagermonsters be a race?

There will be something similar available later on as a potential advancement. But as a starting race. No.

Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Catperson
Occupation: Spy
Background: " Parents immigrated here from the nearby forest. Born and raised in the cities. Spent a lot of time running around, climbing buildings and trees. So when time came for a job, and with parents both from the military, I decided to take something combative. But not soldier, oh definitely not a soldier. Dress codes, drill sergents, long hours, mortality-rates...I wasn't going to have any of that. So I became a freelance spy. Hey, it was fun, blood-pumping, payed well. Left me enough money for whatever I wanted. Clothes, jewels, sex, food, diamonds, booze, sex, clothes, vacations, parties, houses, sex, whatever! And you guys said you payed even better right? So I'm in!...Just one question, what are we doing exactly?"
