Tomio's Journal. More of a video log.
Woke up, had breakfast. Searched for Wari and waited until she was alone. Finally, I could approach her, when she was going down towards the caverns, for some reason.
"Why did you send that elven girl after me?"
She looked behind her, seemingly surprised. She ducked down and kicked me in my right shin. I didn't even attempt to dodge, I no longer give a shit about what happens to this form. I pick her up with one hand and asked again. "Why did you send that elven girl after me, Parasol scum?"
"Why'd you want to know? You with Ballpoint?"
"No. I'm with something far more dangerous than Ballpoint."
"Eris?"
"Again, no."
"Then WHO are you?!"
"Ever heard of the Circle?"
A brief moment of silence.
"The Circle of Technomancers."
The look on her face went from anger and hatred to pure fear.
"No... That can't be. They were all killed by Ballpoint!"
"And by Parasol, if I remember correctly, which I usually do."
Silence again.
"You know, we've changed..."
"Of course, of course. You've become even more cruel and a bit more eff-"
A loud rumble was heard, as if somebody was fighting up there.
"Listen, we're not the bad guys here, we-"
"No one is. We're all here to survive."
"Please, if you see Vanya, tell her that I wanted to say to "Honeycomb" to her. It's something she should remember... Please, tell her to go to the caverns, too, to Orod's HQ."
"And why should I do that?"
"Because this entire timeline may depend on it!"
"You really don't know anything about me, do you?"
"Not really..." Wari looked at me, confused.
"I'm the unofficial head of the Circle, as there are no other known survivors."
"And that means?"
"Because of an enchantment, not only am I nigh immortal, I also have a nice surprise for anyone who CAN kill me."
"But... I thought that was a myth, a tale to make agents wary of who they try to kill..."
"It is not."
"What are you going to do with me?"
"Mhm, trying to change the subject in the hopes of higher survival chances, are we?"
Wari stayed silent.
"I'll let you go. But don't cross my path again, or I will kill you."
She nodded, and I let her go.
I went up a bit, slowly walking towards the Ballpoint mercs. I walked into the Lever room, and waited in an ambush position.
Half an hour later, I spied Vanya coming through stealthily. I approached her silently, and grabbed her arm. She tried to struggle loose, but it was a pathetic attempt.
"'Honeycomb", I said. I grimaced a bit, it seemed stupid.
"What?" she asked. "What does that mean?"
I shrugged. "She said it was something she wanted you to remember."
The heavy sound of iron boots approached, and I spun her around, sending her down the stairs with a shove. "Get to Orod's headquarters!" I yelled. "Don't worry about me."
She hurried down the stairs. Good girl.
I faced a group of twenty Ballpoint mercs. This fight would be a piece of cake, they had ancient weapons.
"Get him, boys!" The front one yelled.
I quickly transformed in front of their eyes. I was SICK of this form, sick of this flesh. In front of their eyes, they saw the power of the last Technomancer.
I transformed my arms into razor sharp adamantine blades, and the rest of my body into steel, my body grew, and soon I had the size of a Bronze Colossus, but fully made out of steel and adamantine.
"Taste this, Ballpoint scum."
"The fuck..." I heard one of them say.
"FOR THE CIRCLE!" I yelled, charging in at them, dismembering at least two before they overcame their initial surprise.
The recruits were easy to take down, and the veterans proved no difficulty either. Their leader was a weak man, but I wanted to have some fun. I transformed back into my Dwarven form, too out a small invention I called "the Flammenwerfer", and roasted the poor sucker alive. I felt alive again, and down on the stairs.
