IC: What's the difference between theory and practical Mafia and why the hell?
Just a guess, but maybe expecting that people would go along with arbitrary rules presented in an overly arrogant and abrasive manner may not have been the most realistic of expectations or necessarily representative of mafia theory.
Really, you need an understanding of how the game is played before you can make any judgments about mafia theory. It's analogous to a situation where a chess beginner learns how the pieces move across the board then tries to think of some chess theory, and then when he applies his ideas against an expert he wonders why chess theory is so different from chess practice. (I'm talking out of my ass though. I don't know anything about chess.)
Additionally, if you want me to talk about mafia theory, or my opinion of mafia theory, I can ramble endlessly about it. Because there's nothing I love more than rambling endlessly about things I'm an authority on.
IC: Was the plan really absolute crap? If yes, then what exactly is wrong with it?
Which one? The one at the beginning of the game, or your three laws?
I thought the one at the beginning of the game was more or less fine, discarding your abrasive manner. I didn't think it would result in overwhelming success, but I have low expectations about any beginner's ability to turn up results on Day 1, but I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it to try.
Your three laws plan was never going to do anything. The key thing with that one is that you were never going to get people to give a shit. Even if you hadn't demanded that everybody call you Emperor (I mean, holy shit of shits, big surprise nobody wanted to do that) they would still object loudly and vocally to arbitrary rules that they would have had no interest or reason to follow. This isn't even a town exclusive thing; scum don't have any reason to go along with it because they have their own IC to tell them that it's not going to do anything and is nothing to be scared of. Any other scum with a modicum of experience will also know this. Ultimately, when somebody objects to your plan, it's not any statement about their alignment, just a statement that they don't like your plan.
It essentially never had any chance to succeed. If you were counting on everybody to go along with it, and that its detractors would be scum, I honestly don't know why you expected that to happen.
However, I did say at the beginning of the game to be bold and do the best that you can, and this is exactly what you did, so I will applaud you for that.
I am passive because it is my nature which i can tell is not a trait that will endear me to the town,
Recognizing the problem is the first step to correcting it.
Having a passive nature is no excuse. I'm shy and reserved outside of mafia. In mafia, I am an aggressive beast. It's something you can overcome with enough practice, and also when you realize that mafia isn't as scary as you make it out to be.
