I like the default ascii tileset very much, but it's too small on today's screens. I have redrawn it as 24×24 tileset to play DF in FullHD. There is a shaded and a plain version of it, both bearded and unbearded.

I'm still in love with Vherid's tileset, but I'm going to try this one - it looks really nice and easy on the eyes.
Good job with the art, and I commend you for choosing to make an ASCII tileset.

Yeah, this is super sweet! Thank you! Even my poor less-than-minimum-wage-earning ass bought a slick HP 25" screen in  early 2009. it was less than 2 weeks pay... I have been refining my own tileset since then, replacing some unused characters with unique ones for plants/creatures i like... Also I could not see ogres too well on my evil staring eyeball grass... And i gave pots and barrels different tiles for some variety and changed a few symbols

I will check this out right away, i love the shaded look! ASCII is the best! Well, all the graphics seem to be 16x16 so i might never know Thanks again!

while I like both graphical and ASCII tilesets, most ASCII sets use the default resolution and make minor changes that often hinder visibility.

this, is nice, just a direct upscaling.

Bump but for good reason, I posted a link to this tileset in the OP of my Mod found in my sig. I will be trying this out because it looks great, Altho I might have to zoom out depending since I like 12x12 sets. But that is because they are hard to see anyways.

I was happy to see people linking and recommending this tileset, a sign of its lasting popularity. Some user said they could use an even bigger tiles. Luckily, before I made my 24x24 tileset I have created a 32x32 tileset (also no shade). You might want to give it a shot if you play on 2560x1600

This is awesome.
As someone who likes to occasionally hook my computer up to my TV and use it as an oversized monitor, this will be really useful for DF sessions!
