Never said that. Went to a tomb to bother a mummy, let a companion take the fall for the curse and had to fight the mummy and the whole goddamn level to finally get some rest, including killing my two companions several times as they were getting annoying, being more capable than the average peasant skeleton. Hard to do when you're a swordsman without dismembering.

Didn't say it wasn't fun, only that it wasn't very effective.

With some luck, quick character and careful hit&running it's quite easy to first lure out the undead horde then run around them and stab the necromancers to death and last but not least, kill every corpse by running around them and quickly killing individual undeads(usually one or two decent hits will collapse them), basically the only way to fail at this is by falling down because of extremely lucky hit or getting charged and stunned/tripped when near a big group of undeads.

Animated corpses are only dangerous because in groups one will probably stun/trip you and the rest will use the opportunity to pummel you into pulp.

The best way I've found is to find bolts or other throwing objects, though bolts have worked best for me. You can pretty much kill/incapacitate any necromancer with a couple bolts. Then it is just a matter of getting rid of the zombies he can no longer re-raise because he's passed out in a rapidly growing puddle of his own blood from the pain of three bolts piercing various vital organs and his bones. Just pray you don't dodge into the horde and get knocked down because that will be the fastest way to death.

No matter what I do, I never suck blood out when I bite them

Go into the 'e'at menu, and you'll see Suck X's blood" at the top, if you're next to a sleeping/unconscious creature.

Im fighting my way through one now.

If you luck out and are in a snow biome, i suggest you fill up on snowballs.

These zombies drop like flies, but can rip you a new one.

ive downed about 30 with snow alone.

You guys actually have trouble with towers? Pah! They are just target practise for my lasher. One shot in any major body part = death for a zombie, and any necromancers take a bolt/arrow to the face. The only bad thing is if they completely swarm you and they all have knives >.>.

Good luck with that, I really hope you acheive a wholesome life with that adventurer with those skills (More then likely you are going to get LOLSNIPED by a random bandit)

So far 3 Necromancer towers have been cleared. 2 Dragon kills, Sewers of 2 towns explored (I think). And like 2000 notable kills of 'Human Corpses'

What was your sewer experience like?  empty? full? treasure?

3 sewers in my towns are empty. WHYYYYY

Two awesome things about being a necromancers:

1) Zombies and mummies and skeletons don't attack you without you attacking first 2) You can rise zombies to kill members of your civ without your civ becoming hostile with you.(since zombies are opposed to life, they attack everything living that is not on your side and their attacks don't count your attacks it seems)

Two Irritating things about being a necromancers:

You cant leave/disband your minions easily for any time you wish to engage with city folk.

Your undead minions bleed out.
