Cave Fish-Man Craftsman Vampire!

So, I was just in my starting town and the first building I went in had a bunch of humans... and one odd symbol, a flashing blue F. I went to talk to him and he turned out to be a cave fish man and his job was as a craftsman. I thought this was just so strange, so I accused him of being a night demon. Sure enough, he was. But some guy cut his hand, this is what happened.

I think, everytime he killed someone, he would take it to town and then make trinkets out of them because he is a craftsman. He never let go of them though...
Please discuss what you think, made him have all these things in his hands.

When I killed my previous adventurer, who slew ~300 humans I got 15-20 pages of -human hair amulet- and -human tooth bracelet-.
I think he just killed a thousand of humans while living there.
