Natural Wonders: Huge Naturally Formed Hollow Wall
« on: October 08, 2011, 09:25:57 am »

The other day I stumbled across an embark site that proved to have geological properties I had not previously encountered. In a frozen landscape two rivers converge, two frozen rivers. The smaller snakes through a canyon and empties into a lake. The large is the opposite of a canyon, it sits on the top of sheer cliffs, and protrudes out of the mountains like an enormous wall. The wall ends at one edge of the lake, but is much higher. So, if the river was not frozen there would be a huge waterfall. Instead, the wall opens out, so underneath the frozen river is a hollowed area. The hollowed area runs all the way from the opening to the edge of the region.

It is very difficult to explain. So it might be easier to simply gaze upon the majesty of it all. I should note that all the brown looking water is actually ice.

I think that's because of a worldgen bug involving streams or something.
