☼Toy Figurine of a Dwarf☼
« on: October 07, 2011, 12:03:40 pm »

This is a masterfully decorated Toy Figurine of a Dwarf, crafted with grey resin and decorated with acrylic and bands of tan sand. The figurine relates to the adventure Why Not... Novemberquest? in the Dungeon of Doom. The dwarf is engraved with an image of an eagle. The dwarf is wielding a Steel Battle Axe, studded with gold and engraved with the image of twin comets, the symbol of a local dwarven government.

The dwarf is wearing a Pig Tail Fiber Cloak. The cloak has been dyed midnight blue with dimple dye.  The dwarf is making a plaintive gesture.

My guess is that it's a model from Warhammer Fantasy Battles, but it's masterfully painted, nonetheless.  My Warhammer 40K minis are disgusting to look at. :)

I beg to differ, he is clearly expressing his mourning by waving his axe around violently. That's how all of my dwarves mourn, anyways. Sometimes their axes are waved at each other, and 'accidents' happen.

Holy crap, you must have a paintbrush of epically tiny proportions and the hands of a jeweler to paint that.

Heh, no I just painted it... the figurine is from the game Warhammer Quest by Games Workshop.  For scale, the base is 25mm across -- slightly larger than a U.S. quarter.

Screw gnomes and flamingoes. I need something like this to greet people at my front door. Awesome paint job.

After all these years my Heroquest figures are still unpainted. I'm too chicken to touch them in fear of screwing them up.

Great job on your dwarf. I really like it.
