The zombie lounge
« on: June 06, 2012, 05:37:45 pm »

Hi guys
I've just had my first undead invasion!
After my graveyard and refuse pile was found I now have over 350 zombies in my fort. They came in, killed a bunch of guys and left 2 of them. I now have 2 dorfs getting on with their lives as hoards of the undead shuffle about them and occasionally attack wildlife.

2 questions:
1) Why arn't they attacking my last dorfs.
2) Why can't I see the necromancers in the unit list? I can see them in combat reports raising things.

I want to try and break the unfortunate siege and seemingly limitless growth of the undead numbers.

They already are targeting something else then, or there to slow to attack.

Or the beard of Armok has washed over them like a holy (if scruffy) tranquilizer.

Well it appears attacking them has got the attention of those being attacked anyway. One brave dorf fell to the undead and one more has had both feet ruined by zombie hands. He now sits in a lonely corridor to await death.
This has been hilarious and terrible.

Check the survivor's thoughts. Do any of them have to do with food or drink? If not, my guess is that he's a vampire. The undead don't bother them. It's the same reason why sharks don't attack lawyers, professional courtesy.

Have them killed. Nothing solves a problem quite as effectively as simply having it killed.
