Hey, cyanide fixes cancer, I'll even sale it you. But yeah, if you can't afford the treatment, put it down and get another one.

I sympathize with you.  I love animals myself.  I've cried over the death of pets.  All the same, and I hope you don't find this offensive, it's not the same as a human life.  I'm sure my family's farming background has something to do with this.  My parents have simply shot animals to put them out of their misery before.  Putting to sleep has been reserved for a couple very respected dogs who were with the family for a long time.

It's hard for me to see people going to such great lengths over a suffering animal.  You can't expect them to be with you your whole life anyway.  It's far better, in my opinion to face the situation realistically and accept the fact that they were never meant to be permanent companions.  If you put into perspective the amount of good your resources can do for that animal vs the amount of good it could do for yourself or another human being, I find it really hard to justify.

This is a matter of personal values, though, and it's your choice.  Just trying to offer some perspective.

I wouldn't doubt laetrile
You wouldn't doubt something that purports to prevent cancer without extensive studies being done first? That's kind of dangerous.
rly?

Cancer cannot survive in an environment that is too basic. It thrives in an acidic environment. Laetrile, especially in an acidic environment, will break down into cyanide. By having laetrile in your system, you're turning your body basic, and it will break down wherever there is an acidic environment, or likely wherever the cancer is, thus killing the cancer cells.

Such absurd BS is not worth commenting in detail. So let's just say that yes, cyanide will solve anyone's cancer problems - permanently. Luckily for would-be clients of these guys, seeds only carry trace ammounts, so they are unlikely to lose their lives in the attempt, just their money.

Some cultivars of bitter almonds actually can contain enough to cause problems. I remember a friend of mine talking to me about he ate a whole bunch of organic bitter almonds and felt sort of weird and had a flushed face.

If this is seriously your counter-argument, I'm not even sure what to say. In fact, I don't think I have to say anything.

Mute Tylui for turning this thread into the worst thing ever. But yeah, cyanide is bad, and making the enviroment base by adding something that turns into cyanide isn't good. But yeah, cat, put down and get a new one. Mourn cat.

Sorry about the cat.

I'd put a relevant link to a sketch by Fry & Laurie to try to cheer you up, but it might have the opposite effect.
