Also... What EXACTLY does Omnisentient do? you didn't explain that very well.

I know that by definition it means all knowing. (I understood that Transdimensional means faster ships)

I thought I explained it. I probably was not very clear . It shows all systems in the galaxy. You don't have to explore anything. Also it shows all fleet movements, so you don't need scanner techs. It also negates other races' "stealth ships" pick which hides fleet movements.

Dang... The game really doesn't fool around with abilities.

I realise that the game isn't balanced (for example the Insect Race seems to have a distinct disadvantage), but in many ways it is sort of a fun unbalance. Though yeah, some a bit too unbalanced... Uncreative being one of them.

As I said, there are various community patches, and one of them is considered "essential" for people who (still) play MOO2 in an internet league, so it's just an original problem.

Still, it's mostly a problem with AI, because players still have a lot of ways to customize their races and play different strategies.
Also when you play on higher difficulty AI has free racial picks (so it gets more traits for free) so it balances it out by "AI cheating" which is used in other games too (like in Civilization where AI builds and researches faster).

I've managed to record my audio from games along with my voice, but it pushed videos to 2Gb+ so I will have to upload shorter videos.

Also I definitely need to buy/find a better microphone and a sound card . Well, now I need to convert videos because they weight too much.

We also had our first attack (on us) and met a space monster with a very sweet planet.

Time to fight! Well, not really... The "I AM SHOOTING MAH LAZOR" dragon is too strong for us, and Gnolams are too stupid to send anything stronger than a single ship (yet).
