DFAdventurer Graphics?

Hail there! I'm new in the forum, just started my addiction in DwarfFortress, and no, i'm not posting what the subject says (tried my best to make this obvious :P), im actually asking for it... I wonder if anyone can make or knows where can i get elf/human/dwarf and races graphics in general for Adventurer mode. I got tired of ASCII and just figured out that there isnt any elf graphics for my elf char.  ::)

If someone could help me i would pretty much appreciate it  :)

Anywhere. Adventurers use the appropriate tiles from a tileset, so any graphic pack means that your adventurers will have graphics.

I understand, but, if you can be more specific, like a link for a charset that have a little elf image for my elf character maybe?
I ask for unique charset for the different types of heros (human/dwarf/elf). I installed the Ironhand set, but it is specific for the seven dwarfs mode because, obviously, if i use it in Adventurer mode and create an elf character, this character will appear as a little hairy dwarf at my screen.

If you install Ironhand's set, you get an elf for your elf. If you mean the WORLD map icon, then it can look only as the same symbol, so you have to pick the only one you want.

Wouldn't part of the problem be that the adventurer is always @?

Holy s***! Just found the elf graphics in raw file, what a noob xDDD
But, well, it still appear as a dwarf in world or not map.

EDIT: Oh, after i installed the Ironhand set, letters like Í, í, Ò, ò etc doesnt appear anymore, something wrong with the font archive?

I read, but you said something about picking? So i thought you had to choose one graphic for your char in world map in some text file, but i dont know how...

What in the hell...? After this newbish combo i just discovered that my version of ironhand is .16, while my DF version is the .17 one... think that is the problem for sure.  :-[

Sorry, hate to be a pain in the ass...! LOL

You can try replace @ to look like elf, but in fortress mode your caravan dwarves will look like elf then.

They won't because they use graphics.

Just replace the @ symbol which whatever tile you want to see.

Hey. There's a version of Ironhand Graphics for .17 now.
Your adventurer on the overworld map will still look like a dwarf, though,
unless you go in and manually change the icon from the file "ironhand.png"
(like, the fifth or sixth one down on the left side of the image. Among the letters)
to an elf instead of a dwarf. But then your adventurer will always look like an elf...

Maybe Toady will eventually allow graphics sets to work on maps, but for now we all just have to deal with it.

Heya! Now that really helps, thks guys!

Iron, actually i've replaced the dwarf image of ironhand.png by an elf image of the humanoid.png and it worked in every aspect of the game map. I will just make a new ironhand.png for every type/race of character/adventurer set, then i replace the respective file for every different race i wanna play... by the way, there is some missing symbols and accented words, could it be the TrueType font support that is activated in my ini txt file?
