We could ask Microsoft about it. They probably use something like this to make new Windows versions.

 :D

Nah, generating working programs might be outside the scope of this, but it could theoretically INSPIRE something like DF if you set it to generate powergoals and bloats. And it could generate language files and random creature raws if skillfully used. However this wold lie in the skill of the user mostly (LOTS of scripts and files whit unintended uses, and other things), so no need to despair Fenrir.

The thing I would want after translation and various polishing is probably a Raw/STTP etc. generator, maybe.

STTP is a important point in the idea I have, the STerioType system I have invented to describe mostly personalities but also various other things, if that could be generated in a good way by this program we have generation for almost anything if used correctly. for example one could enter a file of how the DF RAWS work and have Sekib generate infinite amounts of random creatures; this is one of the distant goals for DF and might even be of great help to Toady!
But I am geting ahead of myself, this might sound daunting but I have a brilliant idea on how to do it and by v0.2 we will already have almost all the code. I think I could help a lot.

If there only was some way for us to communicate faster I could explain this in a way that is not confusing babble, I hate chats to but I really think we shuld do this anyways, PM me Fenrir.

I will stop rambling now.

I never said I couldn't, it's just difficult (for me). I could do either if and only if I can find a way to list all the files in a directory.

A more complex UI can wait until after v2.0. For now, I'll stop being lazy and get to work on file abbreviations.

Okay, I'll add your Capitalism! file, penguinofhonor.

I've discovered how to use the boost::filesystem library, and now only one obstacle stands in the way of the next release: sloppy coding.

This project has found a new home at my blog http://www.dwarfishbard.com

Yes, my blog is woefully devoid of content at the moment.
No, it's not going to stay that way.
