Or even better, wall him in, let his possessed ass rot, and leave him there lest the malign spirits which possessed him seek new victims...

Also, it might be that you already have the metals he wants, but he won't fetch them until after he gets all the bones he wants. I'm not sure whether dwarves still do this in the new versions, but that did happen in 40d

because that's not the dwarven way. Could you make more statues of Urist instead of an impossibly large one chiseled out of the mountain? Sure, you could. If you want to be called a ninny elf by all your friends.

Yeah, why get scared? It's all part of the fun!

Earlier today I had a glass crafter go insane since I don't have one of those workshops up yet. He was in the middle of a pack of puppies when he did, started slinging them around so the mommy dog came and took a bit out of him. He punched her to death... Luckily I had a single Dorf I knew was military grade and he came in to the room and punched the glassmaker to death.

...but not before slinging him 3 tiles by his 4th right toe on his left foot. ;)

so he wants wood and bones. Wood -np. Bones? Nope. Will have to search, where to get those...
Butcher a large animal.

Has anyone else noticed that Kittens have no bones? Beats me how the little buggers stand up...

Actually, it's due to the fact that their little bones are too tiny.

Probably the dreaded shell-requiring mood.  I just lost two dwarves consecutively because I have no shells.  You can't trade for it anymore, and fishing it up is a crapshoot (I haven't fished up a single one since embarking).  A lack of shell has taken its toll on many a fortress over the last three years and unfortunately this trend shall continue.  I thought I embarked with them, but apparently not.
