Expanded options for wells

m: Set as meeting hall (Y)
d: Allow drinking (Y)
c: Allow cleaning (N)
f: Allow fishing (N)
w: Allow wishing (Y)

This would let us specify wells for specific tasks, mainly to prevent contaminants from being tracked through high traffic areas and/or polluting drinking water supplies.

The final option would only be enabled when the economy is activated. A dwarf would be able to drop a coin in the well to generate a happy thought.

It would be interesting, I suppose, but isn't the game already complicated enough?

The menu is already there. This would just add more functionality to it.

Complicated? Do you play dwarf fort. Thats the like the main game component.

We need bigger wells too! Multiple dwarves lowering barrels to store water away for the winter freeze.

because that's not the dwarven way. Could you make more statues of Urist instead of an impossibly large one chiseled out of the mountain? Sure, you could. If you want to be called a ninny elf by all your friends.

Plus no amount of normal wells lets you store the water unless you have a mega sweet cistern. But for early forts and forts with aquifiers, cisterns are hard to get done.

You can already do the fishing/drinking by setting fishing or drinking zones on it.
