I've tried digging out under human temples to find this, but they keep building their temples over the aquifer!!!

Confirmed.

I just embarked on a human town. Under the temple on every z-level was an area of engravings. And yes, it went all the way down.

One would imagine that it should be engraved with scenes of epic battles from a time before time, so if somebody finds one of these right under a human temple, DOES IT BECOME AWE-INSPIRING?

It's smoothed but not engraved.

really, really what are the odds of finding a

directly underneath a human temple? I mean its hard enough to find the two on their own, nevermind in the same area!
