Hmmm...
So, i think we may need more abckground info... like what types of transport n such...

---------------
Mirage looked outside via his window, he enjoyed this view, but it didnt match in comparison to 10 years ago, he put this thought outside his mind, he needed to meet with the CIA head today.
Putting on the stealh suit and chucking some average business tie and suit on with all the other gear he needed in his breifcase, he headed out the door and down the stairs, hailing the nearest hovertaxi, and telling him to drop him off at a location 1 mile away from the CIA head.
Mirage payed the driver an extra $250 to "move it"...

A hovertaxi would be appropriate for DC, but elsewhere regular taxis are all anyone can afford.
Also, I have little experience with real-life rent, but it's around $1,000, right? Notice how rent now costs $4000? Money has gone down in value, although that's probably relatively little compared to real life. I'm not great with economics, yeah.

Spoiler: (9) joke (click to show/hide)

After yelling that (9) phrase so many times, Neuf found herself bloke. Living in the real world is so harsh, and one have to work for money. And earning money is even harsher for someone who is not an idiot to be content with odd jobs. Besides, it is hard to sweep the street with 6 swords and a backpack full of hydrazine.

She know that those on the lab are still on tail. After all, a walking piece of biotechnology is something better kept as trade secret and more explicitly as a piece of equipment than personnel. Besides, natural blue hair is a coveted trend at least for the wealthy. Probably some low profile escort or guard job will provide the money to live another day, and probably steady income and constant movement.

What is this man? A shadow, a whisper in the wind. Life have decided to forget him, those who walked ignore him, and so he had forgotten himself. Hated is what keeps this man alive, it what gives him depth and focus, it has consumed him and is what he could think about. But his mind has left. Although those horrors have been burned into him, what truly happened is only a mist, memories fleeting. Rogers raised from the cold floor. There is no point in wallowing in woe and purple prose. If he must commit himself to his goal he must start somewhere. cleaning himself as best he could, he headed towards the upper levels to begin his final journey.

Well, no point sitting around uselessly. Kenton logs on to his computer and begins surfing the net(normal, not holonet if possible) for some hacking jobs.

So as for inflation, if it continues at the current pace, in 2107 something that used to cost $1 should cost about $7. But that's a long century, and anything could happen. Governments sometimes do strange things with money to change the value of each bill. You could legitimately set the price of a cup of coffee at 5 cents or $80 and it'd still be believable.

> Shower, get dressed. Suit, tie, hat, air filter mask (breather), acid-resistant poncho, tobacco bag, rolling papers, matches, armpit holster, gun, wallet, a few extra bullets, notepad, pen, pocket change, phone.

So do I not exist yet, or can I start doing actions now?

Also, yeah. Money isn't a perfect indicator of inflation - maybe in 50 years, someone discovers the gold tree, and while a cup of coffee costs $10, a brick of gold is $1 or whatever. Clearly hypothetical here, I'm just saying that not only overall cost, but changes in relative costs of goods can change.

Unless what you gave me is the briefing, I'll look for it, and if I find it, read it, provide some encouragement for the soldiers who need it, then check my gear to ensure it is fully functional.

Good point. A revolution in recycling could have us all in cheap consumer goods for a good long time. Likelier, an agricultural crash could starve out the majority of humanity from a peak of 9 billion. Who really knows? A lot can happen in a year, more every year.
