As the only noble who actually does anything worthwhile, I always give my dungeon master very nice rooms decorated with stuff which matches his preferences.
Like cloaks.
And copper!

And a glove!

The King is dead, Long Live the King!
If only he would turn into a zombie, then he would guard his own grave.

You can do that with dwarf companion, actually.

The zombie will spawn where he died though. And the corpse would still exist.

One word: Chasm.

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

I say toss the king in a grave yard and move on.
Than find an heir for the throne and give him the palace.

Don't forget to add some fortifications and grates so that miasma may escape into the rest of the fortress. Never let your nobles stop torturing the poor sods.

I've done this before with dwarf companion. I built my duke a tomb inside his old suite, and then had his corpse put in there. And then, I reanimated him and sealed his shambling corpse inside the quarters.

And then, for kicks, I put the new duke's quarters right next to these rooms. I imagine that the constant moaning sounds disturbs the new duke.

Christ, are you dwarves or are you elves? If you think Hell has too many demons, then you kill them till the population reaches an acceptable number.
