Proofreading for Project Gutenberg
« on: March 15, 2010, 02:00:59 pm »

Hi everyone!  It's been a while since I've stopped in.  Hope dwarfy life is still good.

I've recently become a volunteer proofreader for Project Gutenberg via Distributed Proofreading.  It's pretty cool and I figure it looks good on my CV.  Also I've relied on Gutenberg many times in the past for public domain reading materials and it's nice to be supporting them in a way that doesn't require money!

Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you guys were interested in doing some proofreading.  You can form "teams" on the site and monitor your progress together.  Maybe we could create some sort of crazy Bay12 dwarfy team, if anyone's up for it.

Proofreading...
I'd give it a try, but I tend to jump at shadows. Besides, reading on my laptop can be pretty straining at the moment... Especially when I get screamed at and told to do something like read a book instead.

CV though... that sounds nice actually. I think I'll give it a try in a while. A little busy right now, but it sounds nice.

I love project Gutenberg. I may just be willing to throw my lot in with you. I've got too much free time to spare these days anyway, so I may as well do something useful with it.
