He means liquid as in flowing, rather than just an item that we assume is liquid.

Oooh, what about if lye becomes a liquid?
...I see a fate potentially more evil than magma.

I will stage the death of the hammerer in a wealthy fort on the outskirts of the kingdom.
I will make it look like he accidentally drowned in his private well.

I will then forge a personal letter from the king asking the duke to promote me as the hammerer.
Then, I shall be Hammerer in my very own fort, it's citizens shall tremble before my feet!!

And then out of the blue, the Mayor issues an order:

Go to the room at the end of the hallway, and pull the lever you see therein...

When DF is finished, I'll figure out the spell to turn water into magma, and somehow multiply it several zillion fold to turn oceans into pure magma on the spot.

Then go swimming.  Because I'll have figured out magma immunity by then  :D

Collapse the Mayor's house, then build my own house of of the wreckage. Or maybe destroy the city and make a tower out of their bones.

I will become king by slaying an evil dragon. Then slay the kingdom.

Non-violent: I will... I will... pretend I'm playing harvest moon? Is there even anything else to do that isn't violent in some way?

Not that I'm sticking to nonviolence, but in the interests of dwarven pacifists (if such exist):
Build things, Dig tunnels, Sail your boat across oceans to meet/trade with people there, Build a merchant Empire, Climb Down Chasms... wait. no. that last one would invariably involve killing naked mole dogs by looking at them funny.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

Once booze becomes a liquid (and not an item) I'd like to make a lake of booze.

Introduce fire man.
It IS a liquid.  If you spill it on the floor, it makes a puddle.  Just it cannot flow, and you don't get the numbers think like with water and magma.
There was a dev note about preventing booze from melting a whileback. Probably should though.

Of course I'd wear every megabeast I'd slain as a leather armour.  Take a piece of armour from every weapon master. Wear a ring on each finger of a simi megabeast.  Wear hundreds of wolf bone rings on my thumb. And of course, venture into the underworld to find my own materials for making the most awesome weapon ever to do it with.
