I would probably insist on being called a hobbit.

I think the real question, is how do we call their society as a whole?

Dwarvish?
Dwarfish?
Dorfish?
Or DWARFY!

I'm more interested in the collective noun for a group of dwarves. I vote for binge.

It's a knot of dwarves.

Interesting list, but I disagree with some of it. For example, "a semitheon of demigods" should be "a hemitheon of demigods", because "semi" is Latin and the prefix should be Greek. "A harmony of homunculi" is just weird--I would say, perhaps, a scruple, cabinet, or carboy.

And it groups dwarves under an Elven class which is anathema.
