Beer Waterfall?
« on: March 23, 2009, 02:09:16 am »

It probably isn't possible, but thought I'd ask anyways.

Is it possible make a waterfall of beer?
Say by something along the lines of filling a pond up with beer... then starting the pumping process...

Seems like a right dwarfish thing to do.

I wanna say this is possible by spilling beer into water, and having the beer act like blood, but I doubt it.

Would make an interesting bloat though, why not suggest it?

Not possible. Maybe next version, though - liquids are more defined and treated as such. As it is now, water is the only true liquid, with magma a very hot subset of it.

It's been in the bloats for a pretty long time.

# Bloat325, ADDITIONAL LIQUID TYPES, (Future): Candidates for new flowing "liquids" include sand, oil, mud, blood of various sorts, slime, farm products like grain and beer for the beer fountain. Only a limited number of materials from plant raws like beer would be able to be supported as a map flow at a given time.

Does blood fade out of water after a while? It'd be cool to have a waterfall of blood.

You could start a zoo and end up with a natural history museum, I'm sure no one would mind.

It does.
I have a closed-system waterfall pit I occaisonally hurl goblins into and I usually get a few bloodstained water tiles where they land. They vanish after a short while though.

I really, really like the idea of a pit of blood. And beer. Not usually in the same pit, but anything could happen.
