Wow.  I've just set up d18-head for the first time, on linux, with textmode output, running remotely over ssh.

Baughn & co, this is utterly awesome.

I'm getting great fps (around 100 as of embark) in a default sized embark plot (6x6, I think.)

Truly amazing guys, thank you SO much for this feature!

PuTTY didn't seem to like the world-gen screen much, but the game itself seems fine so far.  I just can't get over how cool it is to be able to play my DF remotely, or use GNU Screen to allow other people to watch, or interact in real time with the game.

It's too bad DF is so computer intensive, or we could have public telnet servers popping up!

I think I found a bug as this has happened twice in a row:

q>Farming Plot>c> it freezes and crashes.

I'm running 40d18 on Windows 7.
