But still heartily seconded.

anything to keep population from un-realisticly jumping from 7 to twenty-something in a single wave.

hey, i just thought something: wouldn't it be cool if there was the possibility for your 7 to be followed to your site? something like a month in a couple of desperate peasants show up. deffinately want a way to disable this tho...

i would like very much receiving less immigrants per wave. Right now its always between 20-30 each time they come. And 70% of these are always completely useless..

If we could ask the town liason what kind of immigrant we need, the number we want and who we dont want..  it would allow us some control over their content and numbers..

Large immigration waves kill my forts. I simply lose the will to integrate them into my fort since it turns into more of a chore than entertainment.

For me, an immigration wave cap would add much to the fun factor of DF.

Just let them sit idle for awhile. They'll build up their social skills to legendary levels and BAM! You have a ready to go military just waiting for recruitment.

Basically I talk about implementing the Tropico immigration system into DF. Only "new news" if you've never played Tropico.
