Blood? Well, my dwarves are already wading in it... Though I can imagine some very sick and twisted evil fortresses, especially if you can build walls out of meat.

Okay, the miasmas alone would be unbearable, but maybe you're building a fortress for the undead? Err... Or it's magically preserved meat. And you could have meat as a building material and make meat blocks and meat armor, and... and I probably played too much Kingdom of Loathing.

Meat walls..Blood rivers. Reminds me of the game Doom in the hell levels. Can imagine inside the demon pits having such things. Also this gives me idea of new moods for dwarves if it wasn't already planned. E.g Terror, Fear and Panic.

Oh yea, Doom. I should have thought about that too. I also remember the skin wallpapers with the stretched faces.

I think if you did something like that, the humans would refuse to have anything to do with you too. Possibly the other dwarves too.
