I'll keep Dwarf Fortress out of this just because it's a given that everyone here loves it, usually. =)

There are few more I'd consider favorites but I can't recall each off hand, oddly. XD I'm thinking Baldur's Gate, Shadow of the Colossus, We Love Katamari...

I've been playing alot of IVAN, ADOM, and NetHack lately, but I still think IVAN is one of the best rougelikes I've ever played.

But as in disk games? Dawn Of War, and WC3.

And Stronghold: Crusaders.

And Thief Deadly Shadows

And Tropico.

Favorite game: Without a doubt, Freespace 2. A space-shooter resembling the Wing Commander series, released in 1999; the community is still active, improving the game engine and creating mods and new campaigns, thanks to the game's source code having been released to the public. Personally, I consider one of the best games of all time. More information can be found here, the main community site is here.

Favorite roguelike: Dungeon Crawl. I play the Stone Soup fork, as increases the variety, and incorporates features, such as auto-exploring, that cut down the time spent on repetive tasks and allow you to get right into the interesting parts of the game.

I loved city of heroes/villains that thing stole alot of my life lol!!! urw3 is out too! it is ok i guess

Liberal Crime Squad - funny, exciting, bloodthirsty, and loaded with amorality for all.

Uplink - another Indie classic for bad nerves on a cold dark winter night.

System Shock 2 - play it in a dark empty room, on a lonely night.

They don't make em' as good anymore.
