the first year went by uneventfull, the caravan luckily used my road and did not in any way get eaten by any skelettal crap.
I am now happy owner of a shiny new iron anvil.
after this I forged 2 iron grates and finally got around to open my magma business
I found myself a nice underground river, without using the stocks menu ( i found out, why it didn't work when i finally dug to the river ) with a nice 11 level waterfall into a chasm.
My 2 legendary miners knocked out 4 skelettal goats, while occupied as temporary masons to speed up my entrance design
Spring brought elves and whopping 26 immigrants.
I bought some booze, wooden weapons and cloth from the elves and ignored them.
After they embarked the met a kobold thief which they smacked up good
( fast enough that my new formed military could not reach them in time )
the larder invaders consisted of :
1 furnace op - yai
1 weapon smith - yai 2 furnace ops
1 weaver - go forth and count stuff ( he is taking the fortress accountant job from my armorsmith )
1 butcher
1 grower
1 herbalist - yai .. that makes 4 food producers ( 2 kitchen, 1 field dwarves )
1 mechanic - yai
1 siege operator - why not .. another mechanic
( actually they are builders now - mason, mechanic, architect )
1 animal trainer - yo grab that x-bow
1 dyer
1 potash maker
another herbalist
1 fishworker( on a map with no water, i found the river after the immigrants arrived )
1 fisherdwarf
- guys .. since i can't do it myself, why don't you go off and hit yourselfes in the face ?
6 peasants and 3 children, a dog, a mule and a cow calf
and just as i am writing .. the new weaponsmith got possessed .. stormed into my magma forge and
started working with three copper bars .. crap .. I allready melted steel .. why copper ..
lets wait how it turns out :
while we are waiting .. I also dug out living pods for everybody, some nice quarters for my soon to be mayor and a nice room for the accountant.
Also some nice shooting ranges ( with arrow recycling ) and barracks.
Another fun fact .. man this guy is biding his time .. I found my first vein of bituminous coal just 20
tiles away from the magma shaft, while digging out the room for the magma industry.
aaaand .. he is ready : here we have : Tokthatitur "Scornlutes", a copper mace,
this is a copper mace. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.
This object is adorned with hanging rings of Copper and menaces with spikes of Copper.
On the item is an image of a thick crescent in Copper.
Not bad .. now I can train the weaponsmith in furnace operating without a bad conscience
