After lunch - and Azusa and Aika sharing a few, tense interactions - the groups eventually split apart, with Ayaka eyeing the group with the same air that the cliched rival in a TV show might eye the innocent protagonist.
For Miyuki, they would find her waiting a few blocks down from the Fire Soul building, with, surprisingly, Kazuma waiting with her, a folder in hand.
"You weren't followed, right?"
Meanwhile, Hikari and the others instead meet with Minako, waiting in the training room.
"Hi. You guys eat well?"
Araki, meanwhile, encounters Setsuna in the Fire Soul Agency's lobby. She smiles as he approaches.
"Ah. Hello, Araki."

Araki walked in still not knowing what facial expression to use there.

: Hey. To be honest... kinda saved my bacon there. I'm feelin' beyond awkward after that. Needed somethin'?

"I don't think so." She glanced around, just to be sure. "What did you find out?"

[Twinwolf]

"The food was as good as usual , though I nearly choked on it when I heard we’d be coming up with our own song…”

Minako simply crosses her arms.
"Of course. We're not an ACTUAL idol unit where we leave that kind of thing to songwriters, even if we take some of their imagery because it'll make us a bit more cash. As Miragers, your songs are also used to repel the Amanojaku. As such, your songs need to come from you. If we let someone else write your songs, the effect isn't as strong."
"Eh? Didn't Tsubasa and I..."
"We're still looking into how that worked. Usually, using a song someone else made up isn't supposed to have that strong an effect. Our working theory is that your Biorhythm level was high enough to compensate. But....for a song to truly resonate with your heart - that is, your Biorhythm, and thus your Mirage - it needs to come from you directly."
Setsuna sashays over to Araki, examining him up and down.
"Hm. Yes. Big, strong....a mighty elan, a strong...down there....you will make a good partner."
"Are you ready to open your heart to me?"
Haruka silently looked over to Kazuma.
"Hm. I had to pull some strings and call in some favours to get this document."
"These are some documents pertaining to the early experiments on Mirages from after the attacks seven years ago."

Araki gave Setsuna the eyebrow™, throughly confused.

: What do you mean? What's this all about? Is this practice for something I haven't been told?

"I see. What did you find out from them?"

"Why, a collaboration, of course. I would like to write a duet and perform one with you."

[Solymr]

: Oh, right. Someone attentive might have heard the hamster wheel turning.

: Sure!

"Ever since I saw you perform last night, I was struck - nay, inspired - by the idea of performing alongside someone with such strong spirit!"
"Someone who finally understands the meaning of 'listen to my song'."
"These documents are pretty standard. Similar testing documents to those they used for testing us for the EUFON recruitment drive. Except the dates are prior to the attack seven years prior. As in, two weeks before."

"Wait, but I thought all the Mirage stuff was a response to Amanojaku attacks. You're saying this predates them? How?"
